YLÖS LASIT--
Upeat maisemat vuoren huipulla, josta on selkeät ja terävät näkymät Mt. Leconte jokaiselle vuoden kaudelle. Kun avaat etuoven, pelkäät sen kauneutta ja laajoja ikkunoita katsomalla luontoa. Mökki istuu puulinjan yläosassa ja siinä on vihreys ja lehvistö. Mökkiä ylläpitää Mountaineer Cleaning Company, joka tekee erinomaista työtä varmistaakseen, että mökki on poikkeuksellisessa kunnossa jokaiselle saapuvalle vieraalle. Omistajana asumme myös alueella ja tarkastamme mökin viikoittain tarjotaksemme laadukkaan lomakokemuksen kaikille vieraille. Arkkitehtuuri on uskomatonta! Vain kaunis! Saapuessaan pääkerroksessa vieraita toivottaa tervetulleeksi avoin oleskelutila, jossa on lattiasta kattoon ulottuvat ikkunat, nurkkaan sijoitettu kalliokaasutakka, 60 tuuman HD-televisio, jossa on Blu Ray DVD -soitin, ja mukava upouusi kaupallisen luokan nahkasohva ja vuodesohva rentoutuakseen. Täysin varustetussa keittiössä on musta graniitti työtasot, kivi backsplash, uusimmat laitteet ja 3 jakkaraa tiskillä. Ruokailutila sisältää tammipalkista valmistetun istumapaikan 10 hengelle. Päätason makuuhuoneessa on king-vuode, vaatekaappi ja 50 tuuman HD-TV. Päätasolla on myös täysi kylpyhuone porealtaalla, tupla-altaat, kiviseinät ja iso kuva-ikkuna. Tässä kylpyhuoneessa ei ole suihkua.

Avoimet parvi näkyvät Mt. Leconte tarjoaa king-vuode, vaatekaappi ja kylpyhuone, tupla-altaat ja lasinen suljettu suihkuhuone. Poikkeukselliset näkymät parvialueen jokaisesta ikkunasta, jopa sängyn takana!

Alemmalla tasolla (pelihuone) on avoin huone, jossa on biljardipöytä, runsaasti istumapaikkoja, mukaan lukien jakkarat pienen pöydän ympärillä, penkki ja vuodesohva, joka istuu 50 tuuman HD-TV-kaasutakan edessä. Tämän alueen takana on lattia-kerrossänky, johon mahtuu täysi ja kaksi erillistä sänkyä. Lähellä on iso kylpyhuone, jossa suihku, kylpyamme, tupla-altaat ja täysikokoinen pesukone ja kuivausrumpu. Great place amazing views

We had a great stay here and are so glad we stayed away from pigeon forge this time. The drive is not long, and we felt way more at ease being a bit closer to the forest. The house is beautiful and the beds and amenities were comfortable. You are definitely getting what you are looking for if you want a beautiful place in the mountains.The kitchen was nice and open, and we were very happy with the layout for cooking meals and everyone relaxing. We ended up staying an extra day.Owner communication was great. Very nice, allowed us to extend our stay and responded to small concerns. They also don't ask that you unreasonably clean the place on top of the fee which was a breath of fresh air, just start the dishwasher.A few things of note, they aren't bad just considerations and they do not change my rating. The master bathroom only has a bath. You have two other bathrooms to choose from for a shower so its no big deal, just a consideration.If you have kids staying downstairs there are no shades on the window. They are tucked in the corner, and the other side of the window is literally a cliff, but we chose to move a coat rack in front of them, just so we felt more at ease.The driveway is not for low riding vehicles. Its not a big deal after you get up once, but expect the very vertical driveway to be a thing you deal with. Jeeps help.

Beautiful home with a great view

This was a great property for our family. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The kitchen was well stocked. It was anbout 15-20 minutes to pigeon forge, Gatlinburg and cataract cave which was anwesome. And we did see bears right on the driveway one of the nights - a mama and two cubs which was the cherry on top.

Spring Break 2025!!!

We had our mostly grown kids and a friend for Spring Break. Plenty of room for the 6 of us!! I even slept on the couch a few nights because SOMEONE snores. The cabin was very clean and furnished well. Kids loved the hot tub and really enjoyed the downstairs area. I stayed on the main floor and was surprised there was not a shower on that level but the tub was nice!! Really wanted to see a bear Very close to everything. Tricky driveway as others have said but thank goodness I wasn’t driving.

Wonderful place to stay!

We had an incredible stay at this cabin during our trip to Gatlinburg! It was the perfect spot for our family and friends. The cabin was very clean and clearly well-maintained, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking. The location couldn’t have been better; it was close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, making it super convenient to explore the area and take in all the attractions. The cabin was also incredibly kid-friendly, which was a huge bonus for our group. The kids had plenty of space to play, and the setup made it easy for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The host was communicative, kind, and went above and beyond to check in with us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We appreciated such thoughtful and attentive hospitality. We can’t recommend this cabin enough—it’s a gem, and we’d love to return for another visit in the future!

Special family time

This property is absolutely beautiful and well cared for! The views are amazing! The house was very clean. My family of 4 stayed with my sister and her 2 kids. The house was a perfect size for us and we all had a fantastic time. The host was very responsive and very helpful. We are a very particular crew and the only trouble we had the whole week was that we had 2 large trucks. The road to the property is narrow and steep. The driveway required a good bit of maneuvering with the size of our trucks. This is all understandable given the location and views, but it did pose a bit of a challenge. Overall we would definitely stay again, just with smaller vehicles.

Amazing cabin with stunning views!

We had the best time during our stay. The cabin was even better in person and had everything you would need. Debbie was responsive and extremely helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. There are so many things to do nearby if you feel like getting out and about. Hiking trails are within 10-20 minutes, restaurants, shopping etc. We just stayed in the cabin our last day and loved being in our own private oasis among trees. We will definitely be back! Don’t book anywhere else!!

G’burg 24

We had a wonderful 5days Above the Glades. The location was perfect-privacy on top of the world. Yes, it is steep and winding, but the view is amazing! The cabin was clean, beautifully furnished, and the owner very responsive with our questions(just a few!). Wi-Fi was plentiful for 8of us and sleeping areas were comfy. The fireplace added a perfect coziness. The views of Mt.LeConte changed each day… each hour. It was a very short commute to downtown Gatlinburg. We all decided we want to plan our next trip- and, stay here! Thanks, Debbie

Exactly what we needed

The cabin was exactly what we needed as a family. It is located perfectly in conjunction to both pigeon forge and gatlinburg. The cabin itself was clean and maintained. The hot tub and pool table were great for those slow days when you just wanted to relax and recharge at home. There was a local pesky bear that decided to break into the trash several times but the owner was very responsive and quick to have the trash picked up to avoid further incidents. Would definitely recommend and will plan future bookings for sure.

Amazing property.

Just returned to PA from our stay at Above the Glades and it was absolutely amazing. The cabin was extremely clean and well kept, the beds were all comfortable, and we fit 8 people - 4 adults and 4 children ages 6 through 11 - with no issues. Communication with the property owner was also great, I had to reach out to Debbie twice with questions and she was very quick to respond, courteous, and very helpful. We have no complaints whatsoever. Saw some people complain that the driveway is steep, but we fit two large trucks there with no issues, and it’s worth it because of the views. It wasn’t an issue at all, anyone with mobility issues can pull right up to the top porch. I could not recommend this property enough. If we end up going back I’d book this place again in a heartbeat.

This place is stunning. Beautiful view of the mountains and plenty of space for the whole family. Close enough to town to run in and get what you need or do some exploring but far enough out you don’t hear the sound of the bustling town. We would come to this place 100%.

Anniversary Trip

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and I wanted somewhere very special for us to hang out at. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and spotless. We enjoyed hanging out on the porches and the Mountain View from the porch. It was easy enough to travel back and forth to Pigeon Forge for dinner each night. We stayed 2 nights….wish it could have been more. We would definitely go back!

Such a blessing!

We had a horrible experience our first night in Gatlinburg and were desperate to find a replacement cabin for us and our friends + kids. Debbie was such a great host and we were so blessed to have stayed in her cabin.

Beautiful cabin, great location

We loved everything about this place! The pictures don’t do it justice. The location was perfect, cabin clean, cozy, but huge! We will stay here again next time in the Smokies.

Fall Break 2024

It was a little further from town than we wanted. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Everything worked as it should. The hot tub was a big hit. The three levels was a little much. You could hear almost everything in the cabin. The TV could easily be heard throughout the house. It was a great place to stay.

Fall Getaway

Cabin Review

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and the view from it was amazing. Debbie was more than willing to communicate with me throughout our stay and even helped us with recommendations on food, shopping, etc. The only thing that we weren’t aware of was the driveway. It’s very steep and a little challenging to get up with larger vehicles. But it did not stop us from leaving the cabin or enjoying our stay.
