Stay at Historic Inn

The house was historic and very old. It sits on beautiful property with a nice front porch and a veranda in the back. But, basically it was falling apart. Plaster was falling from the ceiling in the sitting room. The kitchen had a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a toaster. It was advertised as a Bed & Breakfast. When we inquired about the breakfast, we were told that because we had booked it through VBRO they did not provide breakfast. We did get a brief tour of the history. When two of our party went for a walk through the property and mentioned this to the owner they were told "that's my sister's property, you're lucky you did not get shot". The owner was not a pleasant person. He was rude and abrupt with us. I am sorry to say that we will not return and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Graduation weekend

Great historic home, just a few minutes walk to campus, had everything we needed! 7 of us stayed in the main house, 3 bedrooms, had a nice little kitchenette. The owner was super helpful and even gave us a tour on Sunday morning! Wish the weather was warm enough to use the pool.

Unique stay at a historical site

This is a great property to stay at with a group. There are 3 bedrooms all together and two have sitting areas so your group can hang out together. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is also a small kitchen. It had what we needed. The main level is more of a museum and it has a musty smell but the upstairs is fine. The grounds are huge. Close to Main St! Biff was responsive. Thank you!

Historic home

Perfect location! The beautiful, historic property felt like you were worlds away, but we were less than a minute to Town. The house was amazing. I’m sure if the walls could talk they would have stories to tell. We had a wonderful stay!

Perfect stay at the Hartford House

The Hartford House was the perfect place to stay for our college reunion. My friends and I were able to stay together, and gather for catching up and reminiscing about college days. The grounds are beautiful, and so peaceful to sit and visit. We really appreciated the space and beautiful historical home. The owner was so kind to give us a Tour of the rest of the estate. It was an honor to stay in such a historic home with such a wonderful history. Thank you ! We will be back. Lisa

Relaxing countryside stay (near town)

We had such a fun and relaxing stay at the Hartford House. The bedrooms all have AC and their own bathrooms, and it was very convenient to have the kitchenette on our floor (2nd floor). We loved swimming in the pool, playing tennis, and playing in the front yard. It is a private home set back from the town, but it is not a far walk to Main Street of Geneseo. Thank you!
