I recently stayed at this hotel and was quite disappointed. The room was poorly sound insulated, I could hear everything from the hallway, neighboring rooms, and even traffic from the street outside. It was hard to get a good night’s sleep with all the noise. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt dated and dark, lacking the comfort and freshness you’d expect from modern accommodations. While the location was convenient, the lack of soundproofing and the old, gloomy vibe really took away from the experience. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for peace and comfort.

The room stank, smelt so musty. We had no garbage bags in any of our bins. One of the 'clean' single beds had nail clippings on it. The shower screen is way too short, so the second you turn the shower on, the bathroom floods. Staff were friendly, and the buffet was quite decent - not enough for us to come back or recommend unfortunately.

We were on level 15 in an hinterland view room and did not sleep a wink. The slingshot ride is adjacent to the hotel so we heard the screams all night. The hotel is also above Cavill Ave and the nightclubs - the doof doof goes until 4am and the bed was vibrating for all the wrong reasons. Talking to other guests, paying extra for an ocean view room and a higher floor makes all the difference. We didn’t use the pool as it’s not stopped raining but I do believe it’s closed and you need to borrow a neighboring hotels pool, according to the signage. It was a great location and very convenient to everything, but the noise downgrades the hotel.
