Loved it!

Loved it! Maswik Lodge is at one end of the Grand Canyon Village, and our room looked out over a beautiful pine forest. Easy access to everything, and a short 10 minute walk right to the Canyon Rim. MOST IMPORTANT, the Park Service staff are all wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. (They should NOT be cut from the federal budget——they keep our beautiful national parks running!)

Free EV charging. There is a cafeteria nearby but the food was as you would expect at a cafeteria. Our room was hot and I don’t have an explanation for it. This was late February at 7000 feet elevation. Probably near freezing at night. We had to open the window to remain comfortable. Can’t believe the neighbors were running their rooms that hot. Otherwise an affordable place to stay maybe a mile from the south rim.

The building and room I stayed at is two years old and very well kept. Very close to the rim. The restaurant and food court had very good food and drinks. I particularly liked the vegetarian chili at the court and Buffalo wings at the restaurant. You also have a upscale restaurant 7 min walk away. There was a snow storm one day and they actually were very good at clearing the snow around the cars. I highly recommend this establishment for the comfortable rooms and service.

A great location, probably a 5 min walk to the Grand Canyon. Shuttle was convenient & bus tour was amazing. The guide for the bus tour was wonderful. The views were spectacular. Loved the porch/balcony. The sky was so clear you could see the stars twinkling at night.

The proximity to the Grand Canyon and the vibe of a clean cabin made this place a winner. Easy to check in/out, nice little gift shop with fudge samples, and the transportation (whether walking or shuttle bus) are some of the reasons for my excellent score. The only note is the food court. Although plenty of options, the quality wasn’t great. Prepare snacks in general since there aren’t many food selections in the village area. However, that does not stop me from ranking Maswik a 5/5. Would highly recommend this place to anyone going to the Grand Canyon!

We stayed at the Maswik Lodge for 2 nights in March. The first day we were there, it snowed, and we could barely see the Grand Canyon. The Canyon and Bright Angel trailhead were just a 5 minute walk from our room. The Lodge was clean and convenient. Dining options at the food court were convenient, but definitely not fine dining by any means. I would love to see them upgrade their food quality. More lighting outdoors would also be great, as the walk from our room to the main building was rather dark. Overall, we loved it there and would definitely stay at the Maswik again!

We actually got there kind of late and being our first time we didn't kno that there was absolutely nothing inside the hotel to get any type of food. (Everything was closed already) The weather was turning into snow flurries so we didn't want to go back out in the dark thru roads that were wet, dark, and unfamiliar. So this was probably only downside of visit. It would've been nice to have maybe little snacks to buy. Also would've helped to have a microwave in the room. Now enough of bad...when we did get there the lady at desk was super lovely. She even gave us a downstairs cabin.She was so nice, helped us with maps and any questions we had for the next morning. No one was expecting it to snow but it was a beautiful surprise the next morning. We were a little worried (being from south TX), how the roads would be, but without skipping a beat they were already plowing the roads and pathways. We went to another lodge for breakfast and it was beautiful! Not gonna lie, driving around looking for everything is a bit confusing especially in the snow, but so worth it. The staff was so friendly food was nicely priced and delicious. We didn't stay long in the park because more snow was coming and we had to get on the road for our next stop, but i can't wait to go again.
