The room view from our 2nd floor balcony was EXCELLENT !! Great view of the snowcapped mountains w/ the lake in the foreground. Room was great as well, nicely furnished in old rustic western. The setback from a 5star was a jerk desk clerk (20+ guy) on the last morning with a "don't like my job" aire and short demeaning tone. As well, the Inn does not serve any breakfast options, you must find a place in town. They do serve dinner and alcohol at a stiff price point.

Great stay. Friendly staff, outstanding out tub. Beds are completely although the metal platforms are noisy when you bump them. Gave 4 stars vs 5 because at 3:am some alarm went off in our room. Unplugged the heater and it stopped. Clerk did give us a credit for the inconvenience.

We never expected such a lovely little spot! Mountain town lodging can be hit or miss. The room was so comfortable, with lots of space to relax. We loved the fireplace and the balcony. During our stay, we had some car issues, and had to stay a second night. The level of care and kindness we were shown was such a stress relief for us! The lobby is a bit odd, because most of that space is for a bar and grill. Odd doesn’t mean bad, it was just different. We enjoyed having a drink after a day of enjoying grand lake and RMNP. Thank you gateway! We will most definitely be back!!
