We stayed at the Courtyard due to a recent family passing and had to be in the area at the last minute. Because we were coming from 3h away, I had to confirm to the staff (Melinda? and later Dianne) to see if they allow a late evening check in. They were very accommodating, especially with my persistent calls as we were leaving late in the night. The room was spacious and clean, situated on the second floor - wood flooring, two large beds, a private balcony and large bathroom. Alongside that, we mentioned we were bringing pets so they provided complimentary foodbowls, mats, and a small pet garbage bag. Due to the situation we were in, they were also able to adjust our amount of stay. It’s a great location as it’s right by downtown. Very thankful for their generosity and kindness in giving us a great stay.

So many good things to say about Grass Valley Courtyard Suites! The location was ideal...walking distance into town ( just a block or two), quiet area, and the rooms were so cozy and comfortable. It did not feel like a hotel at all...more like a little cottage in a beautiful setting. All the staff were so kind and helpful!

The stay was nice, and the room was clean. All in all, we had a comfortable stay. The staff let us check in an hour early which was very convenient. We didn't partake in the breakfast they provided but we did make our own the next morning. The fire alarm did constantly keep going off so I'm going to guess that maybe the oven could use a good cleaning. And there was a little mix up with the parking spot we were provided. When we returned from our event it was pouring rain, and we had no covered parking. We were traveling with small child so having the covered parking spot was important. I immediately went to let the front desk know and the woman was a little snide in her tone, but she did fix the problem right away. I appreciated that! If we are ever in the area we would stay again.

This hotel was th absolute best. I had no idea when we booked how special it was. From the start of me getting there they were so kind and helping. Let us check in early. Go to our room and it’s beautiful and spacious and just adorable. They have snacks and drinks to buy in the room if you’d like that aren’t stupid expensive. Every night they had wine and snacks in the lobby. The bed was incredibly comfortable. It was just a sweet and special hotel not a standard one at all. I’ll definitely be letting everyone i know how amazing it was. They’ve literally thought of everything.

We have stayed at a number of hotels in Grass Valley. This is our first time at GVCourtyard Suites, and it won't be our last. Thoroughly wonderful hotel. The room is a little mini-suite with kitchen oven, toaster, etc., a good bed and thoughtful touches. It's not corporate Hilton, it's down-home, family-owned and operated and full of personal thoughtful touches. We will absolutely return.

Staff were excellent! The room was in need of some maintenance and care. The upstairs unit had guests that over several nights were very loud and moving furniture around while shouting and causing a commotion, so sleeping was difficult. We were only given 2 towels upon check in and 2 pillows, so we needed to request more. We stayed 4 nights for Christmas.
