Let see what can I say the bed is so comfortable that I wish that was enough for me although that’s what continued my stay, BUT new does not mean clean and old does not mean it needs to stay dirty. I like to be greeted when I walk in and out of a facility don’t expect that. I had no tissue paper and had to request it and there was only one trash can in the room none in the bathroom and not to be gross but I started my cycle and had to run out of the bathroom to get the trash can. I ate dinner in my room after work so after the first night I requested tissue and trash be taken out I got the tissue left on the counter as you walk in above the microwave and had the same trash bag for all 4 days. Gross

Renovation nightmare

Building was under complete renovation. Felt like walking through an active construction zone, lobby was a disaster, and hallways were extremely dusty and disorderly. I understand the need to renovate, however I feel like it could have been organized and done more orderly.

Major Construction

This hotel is under major construction. No elevator. They will put you on 3rd or 4th floor. Construction till 10 pm at night. The rooms are nice, but outside the room the hotel is filthy dirty. Find another place. They should not be open.

5 Star Stay!

My go to hotel for in town stay. This time I stayed in a newly remodeled room. The room was very clean as they usually are. The colors are very modern and neutral. I highly recommend this hotel. They are still under renovations so please don't hold this against them.

Great Hotel

Whenever we visit Greenville S.C., we always stay at Midtown Suites. The low scores are only because they are doing a complete remodel of the hotel and there is a lot going on. The Hotel is always quite and clean and the location is excellent because it is close to everything.

The property is under construction which eliminates breakfast, a room change if necessary, and all the items necessary in your hotel room such as a trash can, iron, and etc. Our door did not lock correctly and the clerk at the front did not believe us so he came up to the room with us and proceeded to slam the door trying to convince us if we closed it hard enough we should be fine. The following day we called the front desk to ask for an iron because there wasn’t one in the room nor a trash can and the clerk assured us he would bring one to our room. 10-15 minutes later we still had no iron so I went to the front desk to retrieve it. The clerk was just chatting with his girlfriend in the back room and proceeded to say he was “about to bring it up” but not actually. The quality of the space outside of the room seems beyond repair and very low quality. One of the nights we were there our friends were dropping us off at the front of the hotel and the clerk was peeking through the lobby windows to watch us for the 5 or so minutes we were saying goodbye. In all, the location of the hotel is great. Beyond that, would not recommend staying here until construction is complete or a new management takes over. We will not be back.

We arrived and big containers in parking lot with junk everywhere. Lobby completely disheveled. Waited for 10 minutes for someone to come out of the office even though we were trying to get someone’s attention. No apologies.

4 Nights for Basketball

As others have noted, this hotel is under renovation. You can tell from the construction stuff in the parking area, the empty lobby, and the poor condition of the elevator floor. As I walked into my room (#421), there were other indications of both ongoing construction and inefficient planning: a piece of paper stuffed into the peep hole to block the view, a mini-refrigerator door that fell off the first time I tried to open it, no trash cans, and wires coming out of the walls where they had not finished some work. That said, there were positives: black-out shades that kept the room very dark at night, a comfortable bed, a nice shower, easy and free parking, and a friendly staff. The hotel is also located within driving (and in some cases waking) distance of good chain restaurants. It's also only about a 10-minute drive to downtown Greenville and the Bon Secours Wellness Arena where the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament was being played. It was also exceptionally quiet and safe, and I slept very well all three nights.
