We arrived late and followed the late check in procedure, all went great. We discovered a cute patio area in the back by the parking and enjoyed a visit and a snack while we were unwinding from our travel day. The room is adorable and functional. Love the atmosphere of this place.
We stayed at this lovely small town hotel that has lots of charm. It's a historical building and the owners are very nice. You get complimentary pastries and coffee in the morning. They offer pre order at the local cafe across the street so there's no waiting in line. The room was clean and had old school charm. I wish the soaking tub jets were working but overall was quite and a nice place to stay as we were visiting Yosemite for two days. There are a few nice decent restaurants a short walking distance away but the only thing was we weren't informed ahead of the parking lot being a bit tricky to find initially but we figured it out. We would stay again.
Charming hotel with a lot of character. Works very well for a shorter stay (we did 2 nights). Location is central to Yosemite Park (30 ins away) and the area around the hotel has descent amenities
Beautifully renovated historic hotel. An absolute gem. The night we stayed there was truly special and memorable. Perfect place to stop over on the way from the Bay Area to Yosemite. Got great info and service from the owner.
This is a historic hotel that I believe is 109 years old. So as long as you understand that and go into without expectations of a new luxury hotel then you’ll be happy. The character and comfiness make up for any shortcomings. Staff was amazing and it makes you think and feel as if you’re back in the 1800’s.
What a charming place to stay, exactly as we hoped it would be full of character, comfortable its delightful. We stayed for two nights but could have easily stayed longer and would recommend without a doubt. The little extra breakfast goodies were a real treat.
Finn, you are wonderful the perfect tonic to a long day travelling we loved your passion and enthusiasm for the place and helpfulness of the surrounding area.
Places to eat nearby too.
Thank you!
Keeping your mind, building is hundred years plus old and don't expect five star hotel. Very friendly staff and the property is in a good condition. Cross the street donut shop and iron door saloon. Historic town. It is worth to visit for one day.
Nice gem on the way to Yosemite. Owners care about the guests. Great lobby conveniences with microwave, refrigerator and coffee/tea. Old historic building.
No elevators, so be prepared to climb stairs if your room is upstairs.
One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the attached bar/restaurant, this wasn't operating at the time of our stay. This is something that should be shared at the time of booking.
