The host company was very welcoming and made everything easy. This cabin is tremendous with multiple surprises. We have 2 young grandchildren and since there is only 1 staircase it made it easier for us to have them in one area. Being beside the river was amazing, even in early January as we were. We were able to walk to town easily, and across to the kids fun factory.

We had a wonderful time! The kids fished and played in the river while we relaxed on the swing. The location was great. Just far enough from town tom miss the crowds but close enough to walk and enjoy the shops. The house was clean and had everything we needed for it to feel like home. We did have a bear get into the trash can the last night of our stay but no harm done to our vehicles. We will be back!

The property had a great location right on the river and within easy walking distance to all of the stores and restaurants. The house was pretty awesome. Only complaints were the floors were somewhat dirty, kitchen pans were worn out, cobwebs on the upstairs left bed frame, and a lot of the surfaces on the walls were really dusty. But it’s a cabin, and it was a great property and stay. We did have some bears join us for our campfire which was startling. But that’s part of it. We would definitely come back and stay here.

Fantastic location

We always prioritize a river front stay when we visit Helen and this cabin definitely delivered. You can enjoy the sights and sounds of the river (and the people floating by) from the comfort of the deck. If you want to fish however, you will need to access the river from the other side, but it’s a less than 5 minute walk. I would recommend the pictures of the kitchen on the listing be updated—it looks like some improvements have been made since the listing was originally published. The appliances have been updated and new countertops installed. It was different enough that we weren’t quite sure if we had the right house when we first got inside. All in all we had a great visit. The rental agency was quick to respond when we had questions .

Very handy and accessible to town. Loved being able to listen to the stream and watch folks playing and fishing. All the amenities were present and clean. The only (slight) downside were the dead ants across the floor each morning. Obviously the exterminator had come through before we arrived.
