We have stayed at Lamplighter many times - some units are better than others. Unit #30 is not as desirable. The parking spot for this unit is very tight. If there’s other vehicles in the adjacent spaces - forget it if you have a truck. There are 2 overflow spots away from the unit & if they’re not full you can park there. The shower doesn’t have good pressure, more water comes out of the tub spout than the shower head and it takes many minutes for the water to get lukewarm. The flooring is cracked in the sleeping area - covered by a throw mat. It was otherwise clean, but probably not worth the $225/night fee. Other units at the Lamplighter have been good, but wouldn’t choose this one again

July 2025 Stay.

Overall the cabins are wonderful. I've stayed with them before they were just as good. The only complaints that I have for my stay are the water pressure in the cabin was really low so it took a while to rinse and there wasn't enough hot water to finish my shower. As prior military I take quick showers and it didn't last that long. Outside of those two things everything else was great. The staff was nice and the cabin was clean.

It was a nice cabin. But i had no hot water, i waited an hour after my friend showered, and stilk had no hot water. No tissues or paper towels..other than that it was fine

Great deal for a quick overnight especially if you need room to spread out gear, use a sink/kitchen, etc. All was fine except really soft bed that when the hubs laid on one side, whole bed slanted his way. I slept on the couch. Property is aging but adequate.

We could and should have stayed at the Doubletree for less. The cabin had an unpleasant odor that was not from smoking. Our clothes, even those we did not remove from our suitcases, reaked of it after only two days.

My cabin was great—clean, good natural light, plenty of privacy, and the character of an older, well-maintained motel. And the location was nice, away from the hustle of the major hotels and within easy walking distance of downtown.

This property was mid. Our overall first impression was that is was clean and quaint. After spending 3 nights there we ran into some issues. Shower pipes sounds like a jet engine when you turn the hot water on. You can tell that these cabins were a quick half-a$$ed flip. Poor maintenance. Shower handles needed replacing and the stove and appliances are cheap. This unit did not sleep eight people. You could barely fit three people on the couch to sit in the living room and watch TV. There are three queen beds, but the third bed is in the middle of a living room area downstairs. Only one bathroom for 6 people sucked. Worst of all this place needs to get bug fumigated. There were these weird Beatles in all of the beds. Not sure what they were. Every one of us left with a bunch of bug bites. Would not stay here again. Lastly after barely 12 hours in the unit, housekeeping came in when we didn’t ask for it. Said they switched the towels but did not, nothing was done except a garbage taken out. We felt very violated like they were snooping around while we were done. Called the office, which btw no one is ever at, and asked them to please stay out of our unit.
