Really cool vibe! I liked the courtyard area with the pool and the swings at the bar. The rooms are nicely styled. The hot tub tile could use some maintenance and the neighbors are quite close to the property. But for a relatively affordable yet cool stay I really enjoyed it here and would happily stay here again

Fine Room but needs hooks for towels and clothes. The swing bar however was knock your socks off and very friendly. The resort is literally close to everything. It was perfect for a quick trip to Waikiki as we were not in our room except to sleep and then moved elsewhere on the island.

we really enjoyed our stay at the white sands hotel. the staff was very friendly, and the hotel was well located downtown for a very reasonable price. our room took a little long to get ready (past check in time) but one of the managers more than made up for it by kindly giving us $50 food/drink credits. great service, great hotel and would absolutely recommend!

Good: 1. Good location in the center of Wakiki beach 2. Hotel offers great equipment such as GoPro, beach towel and other gears 3. Most staff are nice and helpful. Smooth and quick check-in / check out process 4. Free smoothies! (machine was broken most of the time) Bad: The bathroom has blood stains all over it - was very very disgusting and unhygienic. It was clear that no one thoroughly checked the room before guests are here. We requested to move to a different room and were subsequently placed to a room directly above the bar (again not a good gesture when you know it’s going to get very loud late into the night). The music was loud till 1am - we requested to move to a different room and things got better. More to that, we had to drag our luggages by ourselves moving from one room to another. We had asked hotels to move our packed luggages. They said yes but it was not done. Overall, it was only after 2 horrible nights out of 5 day-stay to be in a reasonably clean room as expected out of a moderate hotel.

Great staffs. Super helpful. Worst room I’ve ever been. Smell like mold, and no proper ventilation. Also found dead roaches. The fridge was noisy. It was holiday season so we were not able to change room for the first 6 days until our last night. The new room was much better. No weird smell. But it’s right above a restaurant which had loud party until 1 am. The people working here are awesome. Friendly and helpful.

Place is a good location and price in terms of Hawaii. I would be careful walking at night back to the hotel. The main strip is well lit with some security and heavy foot traffic. It’s very dark when heading back and not well lit. My wife and I got chased by a crazy person and had to run into the liquor store on the corner on the way back about 30-40 feet from the hotel. There are also a lot of homeless outside the bar/pool hall on this street who will harass you. Hotel is also noisy around mid/late afternoon due to the live music. There were also constant ants around our bathroom sink that would not go away and were there upon check in. Hotel staff is super nice and someone is always at the counter if something is needed. Pros: price, location, amenities Cons: Safety, Ants, Loud music nightly Would suggest this to younger travelers, and anyone who likes nightlife.

WiFi didn’t work the entire stay. Tv local channels only because WiFi didn’t work Room smelled humid/mildew maybe better ventilation, my allergies were activated. Room phone didn’t work but I was near front desk so I was able to walk to it and ask for assistance. No coffee machine in room and their coffee machine at lobby was broken. Free slushies from 11-4 but machine didn’t work. Hot tub tile was missing a lot of pieces, a little sharp but didn’t get hurt …So overall I have Mixed feelings, probably won’t come back
