Fun Hotel, great location!

This is a fun, quirky hotel located in a perfect place. The biggest drawback were the noisy trains at night. Our room was on the train/river side of the hotel, which probably contributed to the noise. But, it was comfortable and a fun place.

Love this hotel. Beautiful, historic setting in downtown Hood River. Such a wonderful historic feel and kind, helpful staff. There is an old elevator, which is fun to use. The room was very comfortable. Only issue would be the smallish bathroom which was up a step - concern for people with mobility issues. But the bathroom had a skylight, which was fun. Lots of historic flair and decor. Fun lobby as well. A fan was in the room which we utilized. We found easy street parking without issue, but parking could be trickier in busier seasons. Highly recommended.

Ask for a renovated room.

The staff were lovely. Quirking and historic. Lack of parking was very difficult. We were told the hotel is renovating rooms. We were in an unrenovated room which was extremely tired and not value for money. Of all the 11 hotels on our US road trip this was by far the worst.

An old time hotel with quirky charm.Located right on the main shopping street in downtown Hood River with several nice restaurants within walking distance. A fun surprise in our room was a phonograph with several old classic rock vinyl albums. Staff were very friendly and we were allowed an early check-in. Would definitely stay here again.

Tara, the desk clerk, was very helpful. We really like the atmosphere of this historic property. The rooms aren’t huge, but this is an historic hotel, we didn’t expect a suite, and it was more than adequate. The central location can’t be beat.

Old hotel with lots of noise. Windows didn't close and there literally is a train right outside the window. Not to mention anyone walking above you sounds like they will come through the floors. We left early, and moved locations. It's not the fault of the staff or hotel. It's literally the location and age of building.

Didn’t like that the hotel didn’t have a parking lot, but after getting here its staff welcomed us and our dog (even a treat bag) made it worth while. Hotel is decorated cool along with cleanliness. Makes a nice stay at a historic hotel.
