The refrigerator could not maintain a regular temperature. The two bathroom ceiling lights on the timer should be infrared to warm things up in there! Other than that, my only other complaint is that the shampoo, conditioner, lotion & soaps are all made in China.

Balcony view was beautiful. The balcony itself was covered in wet carpet, we didn’t hang out, out there but our large GS dogs loved it!! Staff was super helpful and friendly. We also love that each room has an outside facing door. Great for people with big dogs. The bathroom was quite tiny for my partner of 6+ feet, but not a big deal for a few nights. Best dog friendly hotel in Hood River especially if you have large dogs.

I discovered this room in the older Vagabond units was in shabby condition. The table in the main room had three places with contrasting gray spray paint over the dark wood top. The bathroom had a painted countertop with places where the paint was worn off, the wall next to the window frame had cracked and peeling paint, and the shower was missing a tile. I have definitely stayed in better units at this motel, even in the original Vagabond units. I contacted the West Cliff concerning the above mentioned issues, and never heard back from them. For that reason I am never staying there again..

We come to Hood River once a year. Usually stay right in town. Not anymore. This lodge is 1 min away from Main Street. Directly on the Columbian River. Beautiful view. Spotless clean. So quiet which we don’t get being right in town.. Nice grounds. Room was comfortable with super comfortable bed. Staff so friendly. Family owned with long history. Games at front desk. Thoughtfulness of amenities appreciated
