At 78 we had carry our bags down a flight of stairs with no help.We complained next day and were moved.Restaurant only open half the time we were there.After the move the room was fine.

Actual room was not as pictured. Room was not recently cleaned. Has to sweep floor and felt dust on floor after. Dead spiders, dirty balcony. Had to ask for additional chair for balcony. Asked for pet friendly unit we were put downstairs not near and grassy areas. The lodge was not ready for spring/holiday guests. Property needs leaves/debris landscape cleanup. Will probably not return.

Our experience at Lake Barkley resort State Park was excellent. The food was amazing and the great prices were a nice surprise. The rooms were really nice, the bed was comfortable, The view of the lake was amazing. The only negative was that there was a lot of construction going on and there were not signs telling you where you were and how to get to where you needed to go. When we drove up, it was very difficult to find the door to go in because of all the construction and the lack of instruction with signs. I’m sure that will be better when it’s all finished, however, it could be better now and eliminate a lot of confusion to people who have never been there before. But overall, it was an excellent place to visit and stay and we will definitely come back.

Love the balcony. Everything was comfortable and clean. All the staff was friendly, helpful. But was disappointed in the cable. The UK game (state team) was playing and could not get it on tv. No local channels at all.

Customer Service Was Great.

The customer service was excellent. The wi fi was slow and I was unable to work. I assumed it was standard. The next morning I overheard that it needed to be rebooted. So it may work better that what I encountered. Food was great. We were there on one of the coldest days of the year, the water in the shower would not get hot. Not even warm. But I believe this would be a wonderful place for a vacation trip, just not great for the type of work that I needed to accomplish.
