Check in was extremely slow. Was concerned the place would be substandard but actually the room was very clean and well maintained. Bed, sheets, pillows ok Lobby was not that nice and we didn’t eat the breakfast due to time For the price it was ok

My only gripe was the long wait (30 mins?) for check-in. But everything else was good to excellent. I was especially pleased that the hotel was quiet, surprising because this was Good Friday and there were many people in the hotel.

Don't count on the shuttle or any level of service

We booked this hotel for it's proximity to the airport and the free hotel shuttle since we were arriving later at night and didn't want to go all the way to Galveston after a long day of travel. We got out to the airport shuttle zone and waited and waited for a La Quinta shuttle. I tried calling the number on the reservation 15+ times and got a voicemail only. I called another number on Google and the lady at the desk said they have to personally dispatch a shuttle and they couldn't accommodate 8 of us. A driver for another hotel shuttle felt bad when he came around for the 3rd time and we were still there after 45+ minutes, so he offered to bring us to the La Quinta for a donation. We paid him $20 instead of the free shuttle we booked this hotel for. When we arrived the front desk women just talked away not acknowledging us even entering the building for 5 minutes. Once in the room, when my kids turned on the TV it is stuck on a dish satellite screen to order a movie called "Daddy fill all my holes". Ha! Try explaining that to your four kids at bedtime after a long day of travel! The room is very spacious and clean and the morning breakfast had many options so those were two positives. I will look elsewhere on our return though.

I came in at 1am and the lobby was swamped with a big group of college kids in town for something school related. The front desk lady worked as quickly as she could to get everyone into their rooms and I appreciated her efforts! I didn’t catch her name but she was a trooper!

The exterior of hotel property looks excellent newly Parking lot is clean and lot of spots are available for parking. The interior paint of hotel was good but they need to change the rooms furniture also the toilet sanitary fittings.

We booked a two night stay. Checkin went fine. Next morning, breakfast was provided 7-9 am on a Sunday morning. We arrived at 8 am and most of the buffet line had no food. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for it to get replenished. We saw two large cockroaches in our room. We were gone from 9-6 pm and both of our key cards did not work. The front desk reactivated them but when we entered our room, it had not been serviced. The front desk said we had probably left the Do Not Dusturb sign on the door. I said No we did not, we've been out all day. She indicated the cleaning staff was ready gone for the day and she could not do anything about it and dismissed us. I told her we at least needed clean towels for the morning. She acted like we were a huge inconvenience. Other guests waiting to checkin heard our conversation and one couple was not sure they wanted to check in. When we checked out, I repeated our experience to the new front desk clerk. She just shrugged it off like it was not her concern. The property appears to be fairly new and convenient to the airport. Too bad the service was lousy.
