No shower gel

Shower gel container was completely empty which I didn’t notice til I was in the shower. Never should be left empty!

Property was actively being worked on and we did not have prior knowledge. Seemed to be unsafe for small children we were travelling with. Website said rooms would be ready for check in at 9am. We got there at 1230 and it still wasnt ready at 245. Daughter and her family were first given a room that was wide open. Desk clerk sa8d it was common for housecleaing staff to leave doors open. Upon attempting to switch rooms, clerk said rhey had her down for a single double bed when she had booked 2 double beds. New room given had trash, wet towels and unmade beds. 3rd room where she finally stayed as they would not work with us to cancel the rooms uless we were willing to do so and not receive our money back had a clogged toilet and they had to beg for a plunger. Our room was ok but the hassle of it all will lead me to never stay here or recommend this property to others

Our stay at Hyannis Inn was overall an excellent experience however we went to check in after having reserved and prepaid on Expedia and was told we had to pay for our two night stay once again. Then the management wouldn’t provide us with any receipt of our payment to them the second time we paid our payment for the room directly to them at the inn after we had receipts showing we had paid for our stay already via Expedia. They told me/us we would have to take it up with Expedia and thankfully we had the $500 necessary for the two night stay there to pay for a second time. We were lucky as some people don’t have that kind of extra money on them. Then they would not accept cash for the second payment of our stay. Only a credit card and then they said my card wasn’t going through. This being the card that I originally used to reserve and prepay on Expedia without issue. I came home to notifications from my bank that there were three OTHER attempts of the Inn trying to pull the almost $500 two night stay off of my debit card which thankfully my bank declined recognizing these were repeated payments and attempts to pay for same dates we already paid Expedia for. My spouse had to use his credit card to get us that second payment through since my bank wouldn’t allow the Inn to take any further payments for those same dates from my account. So here we are having spent almost $1000 on a two night stay because Expedia charged us once prepaid and then the Hyannis Inn charged us again.

Nice overall

It was a decent place and the employees were very helpful about getting me settled in after hours. A bit pricey for the type of place it is, and the pool hours were a bit limited for my liking, but overall a nice, comfy place to stay.

They advertised 9.6 ratings, Floors dirty, not enough staff, wouldn't clean rooms, advertise continent al breakfast, don't even have one and have not for years, kept getting different pricing on confirmatioms then got charged tge highest, staff/owners tottaly unprofessional. Totally disappointed 😞

The facility is well located on Main street there are a few local bars and restaurant's located nearby albeit as it was out of season not all were open. The receptionist was wonderfully helpful and welcoming The rooms are as expected but had all one needed for an overnight stay. The harbour area is about 10-15 min walk for marina ferry and additional dining
