We had a wonderful stay at Royan Suites, and a big part of that was thanks to Cem and Ayşe. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly, always ready with a smile and helpful suggestions. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome and at home. The rooms and spaces met our expectations for a boutique hotel and provided the cozy atmosphere we were looking for. The hotel’s convenient location also made it easy to explore Istanbul, adding to the overall experience. What stood out most, however, was the personal touch and care we received from Cem, Ayşe and Ozgur. They elevated our entire Istanbul trip, making it even more memorable and enjoyable. We are grateful for their kindness and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for not just a stay, but a heartfelt experience in Istanbul.

Lovely room, friendly staff, perfect location

Good sized, comfortable room. Superb location for many of the main sights. Excellent quality of furnishings and decoration. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. The air conditioning struggled a bit. Would certainly stay again and highly recommend the hotel.

Great location, right in the heart of Sultanahmet. Lots of restaurants around. It's a small hotel, has right amenities for a short stay, and the staff is kind (thanks to Azugar). Their chef was out sick, so we had to go to eat breakfast at their sister hotel, which, I liked more than this hotel.

Istanbul GEM!

We had a great 4 night stay. The room was both spacious and immaculate (we also had a nice private terrace). Jem took great care with us from coordinating a driver to and from the airport to arranging for taxis both to and from places we visited ( highly recommend for safety). The daily breakfast is cooked to order and was a great start to the day. Location is also perfect very central in the historic district.

Charming Stay in Istanbul

This was by far one of our favorite stays of our entire three week tour of Europe. The location was superb, close to all major sites and public transportation. The hotel itself was charming with an abundance of hospitality and generosity. We were met by Gem who handled all our needs and gave very helpful information for navigating the city. AND, offered us tea and refreshments upon arrival. Aisha, the Masterchef and Housekeeper, prepared fabulous breakfasts to order each morning. Staff was always available to accommodate any need. After spending the day touring Istanbul, it was a welcome place to relax each evening. We came as strangers but left as friends. I hope that your stay will be as wonderful as ours.

We stayed for four nights and absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made our experience exceptional—every single person we interacted with was kind, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location couldn’t be better if you’re planning to explore Istanbul’s historic heart. The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are just a short walk away, and the surrounding area is filled with fantastic restaurants—many with rooftop patios offering stunning views of the city. A special highlight was the Turkish breakfast served each morning—fresh, delicious, and a perfect start to the day. I’ll definitely be booking here again the next time I’m in Istanbul. Highly recommend!

We loved the Royan

Not an issue for us but there is no elevator in the Royan. No ground floor rooms. That said, the desk clerk was more than happy to take our bags up. Great location among restaurants & bars and short walking distance to Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque & other things. Definitely would stay here again!

Our spacious, modern, and remarkably quiet room was a delightful surprise, considering the contentious staff and the hotel’s sturdy construction. The location was superb, with shopping, restaurants, banks, and historical sites within walking distance. For the first time, we were accommodated in two twin beds instead of a king-size bed, but it turned out to be no issue. The comfortable mattress, bedding, and pillows, coupled with the blackout drapes and the generally quiet ambiance, made it an enjoyable experience. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional team we encountered. They were incredibly kind and generous with their time, always eager to assist us whenever we needed it.
