Highly Recommended! This hotel was in the perfect location, everything was within walking distance. It offered great value for the money, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The service was exceptional: we arrived around midnight and they were fully prepared for us, greeting us with chocolates and refreshing lemonade. The breakfast buffet was both generous and delicious, and the view from the hotel was absolutely stunning. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a memorable stay.

After seven years stayed here again and the hotel is conveniently located at walkable distance from the Blue mosque and close to the tram station. The staff were extra helpful and rooftop terrace restaurant has views of Blue Mosque and Haifa Sofia

The hotel is excellent! The staff so helful! The manager even made sure we had our boxed breakfast because our flight was very early! Unfortunately the hamam experience was a bust! There were 4 of us scheduled and there was only one person to do all of us. We wasted 3 hours each waiting . So sad! The masseuse was good, but it was a bad experience. We could just have walked a few feet to do our hamam somewhere else. We could have seen more of Istanbul at night! Oh well…But I will highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again when I have the chance to come back❤️

The hotel was advertises itself on Expedia as having a being unqiqe for having a swimming pool, private outdoor hot tub, chikdren's play area, and spacious 431 sq. ft rooms with city views. None of these existed. The first room was mouldy with a broken toilet door; the second which was one of their largest rooms quad rooms was about 231 sq. ft — so small there wasn’t even space to lay two prayer mats and no where near the 431 sq feet advertised! Photos and room size were significantly exaggerated. During our stay, staff sprayed chemicals and later scraped mould/painted the bathroom without removing our towels or toothbrushes, leaving everything contaminated. The hotel itself could be nice, but the experience was overshadowed by poor hygiene, unprofessional cleaning, and misleading advertising. The hotel has since removed some of the false claims, but they still exaggerate room size and advertise all rooms as with a “city view” for all rooms when only half actually face the city/street — the rest face a back alley. Overall, a very disappointing and unethical experience.

Great Experience at SULTANHAN Hotel

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the staff is what makes this place special. Every staff member is so nice and very helpful. We just loved our dinners at the rooftop restaurant-Ali, the restaurant manager was phenomenal! He was friendly, funny and loved sharing info about this wonderful city. We looked forward to seeing him each night of our stay.

Great Location!

We enjoyed our stay at Sultanhan as a family. There was some confusion regarding their listing stating children stay free, which I see they have now removed from the listing. This caused me to incur additional charges upon checking in with my 10-year-old. So, I'm glad they've clarified this in their listing for future travelers. But it was a rough start to our stay to be hit with additional charges. Otherwise though, the hotel was lovely. The double triple room was spacious and comfortable. Cold A/C ,free wifi, and very clean . Perfect location for seeing the sights, by foot. Plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The breakfast buffet was satisfying, though a bit underwhelming. Views from the dining room were beautiful though. Staff was all very friendly and kind. We had a city view room though our view was completely obstructed by a tree. The price you pay for a good rate on a room I suppose. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would consider them again.

The hotel is on walking distance from blue mosque, hagia sophia bazar and all the transport links. The staff is helpfull and respecful. Breakfast options are great but dinner is way too expensive. I would highly recommend sultanhan hotel

This was my first time in Turkey and we stayed about 9 days. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this hotel so close to everything. We walked almost everywhere: Hagia Sophia, Blue Dome Mosque, Basilica (which were 20 feet from the hotel), Grand Bazaar, and close by to restaurants that you did not have to use or pay for any transportation. (Avoid taxis at ALL costs, if you can). It is better to find one of the all day rental companies with the black vans and pay a set fee before you use the taxi. Also, the tram was cheap and quick. The staff were very nice at the hotel and the breakfast was very good. If you eat their breakfast, honestly, you won't need a lunch. They had such a good assortment of choices: soup, eggs, Turkish sausage, olives, yogurts, breads, fruit, veggies, and the CHEESES!!!! This hotel will pay for itself. The staff were helpful and all spoke English on some level. The hotel is not modern, but Istanbul is an old city. It was charming to stay at and the windows facing the street would open to let us get a cool breeze which I appreciated very much. The other room we got had a Juliette balcony which was an A+! The hotel provided us with a very user friendly map at check-in and it saved us so much time and helped us choose the places to visit. I read the posts from some of the other experiences after I made the reservation, but before we stayed here. I really can genuinely recommend this hotel for you and your family. Safe Travels.
