This is a great house for a family. It is a short walk to anything you want to do in Bemus Pt. It has a great yard for the kids to play in. The kitchen has everything you need. The bedrooms are very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

The 4th in Bemus Point!

This was our 2nd time staying at this great home. We loved it the first time and we loved it again. It's not just a rental house...it's a well loved and cared for home and we feel honored to be able to spend a week there. And Bemus Point is a great little village on the lake..walked to get dinner...to get ice cream...to play golf...and to watch the fireworks. Really a fantastic week.

Wonderful Bemus Point Home

This clearly much-loved family home is perfectly located within walking distance of all that the charming village of Bemus Point has to offer. The large and welcoming wrap-around porch was perfect for everything from large family meals and raucous card games to quiet afternoons reading and relaxing. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Perfect house for our family

Our family has been having a reunion in the Chautauqua area for the past 15 years. We have stayed in many places in the area. This house was absolutely perfect for us. Plenty of space for everyone, a great kitchen (we like to cook), beautiful porch, and super close to town. We hope to come back next year.

Perfect home for wonderful stay at Lake Chautauqua

This home was perfect! The host was very responsive with Q&A before and during our stay. The local manager who lives in the neighborhood was very friendly and accessible for handling any issues but we didn't have any. The wrap-around porch was wonderful. There is a large yard with a firepit and lovely landscaping. The home seemed larger than it did in the pictures. The kitchen has plenty of space and includes a range (oven and gas cooktop) plus a two-unit wall oven. Having three ovens was great! There is also a wet bar next to the kitchen and a nice coffee bar (with Keurig machine and Espresso machine) in the room next to the kitchen. We ate most of our meals on the porch but we also enjoyed the dining table that is inside next to the kitchen. The location is fantastic. The home is one block from the lake and a short walk to a variety of shops and restaurants in charming Bemus Point. Bemus Point is close to the middle of the lake so it's conveniently located for trips to any destination on the lake. We were three couples plus two small dogs and we were very comfortable in the house. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms upstairs. Two of the bathrooms are connected to bedrooms. There is a 4th (small) bedroom that we didn't use and it's just outside the master bedroom so you have to walk through that bedroom to get to the master bedroom. Watch your head if you are tall. The house has central air conditioning which was nice. Overall, everything was great!

Comfortable & convenient

Irene was the perfect hostess: great communication and very professional. The property was perfect for our family: 1 year old up to grandparents. Front porch is LOVELY and the yard was wonderful for yard games and fire pit. The neighborhood was quiet. And the home is just down the street from the boat launch and downtown shops and restaurants and playground. WE WILL BE BACK!

Magnificent

The home is as beautiful as the photos suggest. Built in 1923, it has a gorgeous wrap around porch, which is well furnished with wicker chairs and tables. We spent a lot of time on that porch! The kitchen is well-equipped as are all of the bathrooms. Downtown Bemus Point is a short walk from the home, as is Lake Chautauqua. There is an excellent gas grill, a large yard. The property owner was delightful to work with. We truly enjoyed our time there.

Great stay! Beautiful house with a wonderful larger wrap around porch that we had most of our meals on. The gardens were lovely and it had a spacious backyard for games etc. We enjoyed it all.

It doesn’t get better than this!

While this home looks pretty in the photos, you have to see it in person to take in just how charming, inviting, and well appointed it is. A lot of love has gone into the decor and gardens, and there is not a detail overlooked in providing for the comfort of Irene’s guests. She was easy to work with and most gracious. When we weren’t exploring the area, we so enjoyed sitting on the wraparound porch by day and around the fire pit at night. Shops and restaurants are just a stone’s throw away, and Chautauqua Institution, parks, and marinas are also easily accessible from the home’s location. While there’s no shortage of Chautauqua area rental homes available through Vrbo, this one’s a standout.
