What the sticky floor!

Floor was sticky and saw a cockroach crawling on surface where TV stands.

The staff was helpful checking in. I got charged to check in early and I’ve never experienced that. They also acted like they couldn’t find my reservation at first. I had to pay a deposit, which was also a first. Usually they just hold your card info incase they need to use it for incidentals so hopefully it doesn’t take too long to credit back. Breakfast was slim pickings and their juice machine was down. Our friends stayed and got put in a smoking room for some reason and got told they’d be charged $10 to switch rooms, luckily they talked themselves out of that. Lobby was closed at 11:30, so we couldn’t go use to ATM to get cash for their vending machine. Overall, for the price of the hotel it was a fine stay.

First I did the preregister, car, ID, credit card and then when I checked in they asked for all of it over again. They ask for $50 deposit and in the room they have a plaque that lists the cost of anything you take or damage. But some of those things were missing from our room already. The bathroom was dirty and had bugs in it. The attendant just apologized for everything but didn’t offer to do anything about it. There was really no food for breakfast and the coffee was undrinkable. I would not recommend this motel unless you don’t have a choice.

This place was absolutely horrible. I wouldn't even give it a one star if possible. There was black mold growing in the shower as well as hair on the wall. The floors were so disgusting that your feet/socks would turn black. They advertised that breakfast was served untill 9am yet when I went at 8:30 they already had everything packed up. There were paint chips and indents in the wall. The ice machine was down which was a priority for me as I'm a breastfeeding mother and need access to ice at all times. The towels were so dingy and stained, at least I hope it was just stained. Housekeeping didn't even come in and clean which was the cherry on top of an already horrendous stay. The employees werent very nice either.

The property is well located to the downtown area. It is filled with classic old buildings with plaques outlining their use when the town was more vibrant. There are several restaurants withing an easy walk of the hotel, as well as a Taco Bell (half a block), an Arby's (about a block) and a MacDonalds (about two blocks). The local restaurants include a barbeque pit; an italian/pizza joint; a sports bar; and a chinese restaurant. There is also a local bakery within about two blocks.

No soap. Buttom of tub felt like the bottom was going to break. The exterior stair well was filthy. No juice at breakfast. Spoiled milk at breakfast. Eating area was dirty, like stained walls. No waffle mix at breakfast. The hotel looks worn out and needs a total renovation.

I dont know if it was just the room we got, but it had the nicest shower head and water pressure of anywhere i stayed, including much more expensive hotels. Good service, nice breakfast, clean. At this price level, i loved it.
