Great place to stay close to the water convenience store with everything you need right across the street a few minutes from a great burger place and Kernville is only 20 minutes down the hill

All though the facility was older it was very well kept and clean. The location and scenery was superb. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. If you are planning a fishing trip for the Kern river this is the spot. I saw several good fishing spots and holes within walking distance. The next time we are in the area this is where we will stay.

Very nice area, somehow missed the town at the bottom of the hill. Cheryl’s restaurant has a great breakfast. Little shops and such are going on in town. Loved the Kern River running behind the lodge. I am sure I saw gold glittering in the rocks, but forgot my pan! Ha, Great little lodge and area! We were passing through a lot of beautiful scenery.

A hidden gem! The views and location are ideal. Staff and service was exceptional. Everything you could need from the bbqs to country market across the street… it really makes this lodge an ideal stop for anyone looking to enjoy the river. Can’t wait to come back!

living in the area, my wife and I enjoy the Kern River and the surroundings, we often tent camp but felt this time we would stay at the lodge, we have a 45lbs dog and that was no issue there. The rooms are clean and taken care of. The store acroos the street has breakfast and burgers. The place was quite and the steps to the river access is a great feature. I would recommend this 10 out of ten times.
