Nowhere to eat and chickens everywhere

While the rooms were awesome, we were hugely disappointed to learn both restaurants were under renovation which was not mentioned anywhere on the website. Don't plan on getting a good night's sleep because the property is over run by chickens and the roosters started screaming at 3am.

Wonderful Stay – Wish We Stayed Longer! We had a lovely experience at this beautiful and clean hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The hotel grounds were charming, with relaxing areas and board games available for some family fun. We especially enjoyed seeing the hens and their adorable chicks wandering around—it added such a peaceful, countryside touch. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and our whole family enjoyed it. What a train wreck. I should have been worried when they called me 4 times to verify my time of arrival, after I had called earlier that day and spoke with two different people about... Bathroom doors are barn doors and they kept breaking, resulting in multiple room moves. I was charged 6 times various amounts ($897, $693, etc etc) even though I paid in full via Expedia before hand. Lastly, we left two days early of our 4 day trip because the AC cover fell off (the window to the ocean view is right above the unit) and hit my foot, hard. Also, NEITHER of the two elevators were working. I have had a knee replacement recently (and I am late 30s for context) and since our room was moved to the 5th floor... we couldnt handle the stairs. Nevermind there was a guy STUCK and banging on the elevator when we were leaving.. They disabled the call button for help in the elevator. VERY UNSAFE. Save yourself the trouble. Still have not gotten the $$ charged inaccurately returned to me. Nevermind the insane resort fees...... (I would absolutely not call this a resort).

Check-in went smoothly, or as smoothly as expected. Hotel was very nice and very clean. Pools were well stock with towels and very well kept. Room was very nice and as far as the staff, no complaints at all. Only bad experience was every day(3 days) my card was charged over 600 one day, over 300 the next, and about 300 the last day. I went to management the first time and was assured they were holds and not charges. Who holds over 1300 dollars of someone’s money for no reason???. On check out day I was handed a receipt with the correct amount deducted and thought it was said and done. Until the next morning when all the charges went through, and I got to spend over 2 hours on the phone being put on hold for 10 minutes at a time until someone could finally tell me what happened. Now I’m being told half went back on card, was told I have to wait for other charges to fall off and if they don’t call back again tomorrow and then was hung up on. Never again….

The lobby and atmosphere was nice. However, staff (manager in particular) was rude and would talk over you and not let you speak. I had paid for an ocean view, and got the view of an elevator. We were only there for 2 nights and they wouldn’t “couldn’t” move us to an actual ocean view until our stay was half over. After our first night there, my husband had gone up to the room at around 3pm while we were at the pool, and said housekeeping about to be at our room. We were leaving shortly after for a 3.5 hour boat trip, so we never went back up to the room after that. We got back to our room at 9:30 and our room door was ajar and had been that way for probably 5 hours.

First, the elevator did not seem to work and I had to carry all my luggage to the 5th floor and secondly I was charged a lot more than what the price was supposed to be, I was charged the first day the actual amount and then the second day in the morning got another transaction for about 168 dollars. Not going here again.

Horrible customer service!!!! BEWARE the staff will argue and laugh in your face and interrupt you when you are speaking trying to get any sort of clarification on their strange billing system. You think its only the staff that is uneducated and doesnt know what they are saying but no the manager on staff also was extremely rude and unprofessional smirking at us when we brought a simple question about the billing that kept getting the runaround. After a conflict with the manager they "locked" our room keys and we couldn't get inside our room what a coincidence the lady had to "turn them back on". THEY WILL CHARGE YOU WITHOUT TELLING YOU EXACTLY WHAT THE CHARGES ARE AND DONT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT WITHOUT AN ATTITUDE!!!! I asked for invoice they gave me a different invoice they werent even gonna give it to us if we hadn't had asked.... they also close back gate and have to go fully around building after 10pm to get to your car that is parked in the back. Will not be staying ever again due to the disrespectful experience we encountered from everyone there.
