Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Southermost Resort. It was my 50th birthday and overall we had a good time. A few things to note. I was under the impression that we had reserved a room with a balcony or porch space and we did not receive that. Not a big deal but kind of a bummer. The hotel was only half full the whole time we were there. The room was adequate and clean with updated furnishings but the area rug near the bed appeared worn and dirty, one lamp was broken on the desk but still worked and the other floor lamp's bulb was out. In all fairness, we did not notify the front desk of these issues. The bathroom was nice but had very dim lighting which may or may not be an issue for some. The water pressure in the shower was horrible and the sink did not drain well in the bathroom sink. The bed was clean and comfortable. Our room was on the ground level overlooking the street in the front of the building so noise was somewhat of an issue at times. The staff was ok. One of the female pool nar
