Desk staff was not overly friendly upon arrival, more along the lines of doing the bare minimum to say they were doing their job. No parking pass was given upon check-in and and I had to return to the desk and convince a staff member I didn’t receive the pass. He then saw the pass on the desk and realized he’d forgotten to give it to me.
The outdoor restrooms just off the pineapple pool had no paper towels, both hand dryers were inoperable, and one toilet was clogged and water was up to the rim.
Our room (1212) had ants crawling on the walls and desk, and various other insects on the floor. The overhead light on the fan came on by itself around 6am, waking both my wife and I. The balconies are not well isolated from one another, allowing for zero privacy if you’d like to sit outside.
There was a lot of sea weed on the beach near the cafe, which I realize is unavoidable. But, there seemed to be no effort to clean it up. Also, there was no beach attendant manning the chairs, so we were unable to obtain an umbrella for the day.
The cleaning staff were generally unfriendly when passing on the walkways to the rooms, and it seemed their carts would remain in the way making it difficult to pass. We were never greeted with a smiling face, or asked by staff if we were enjoying our visit, not once.
The only enjoyable experience was seeing the sunset from the tanning pier, which we could have done for free. The overall experience was not 100% pleasant.
