What I liked was the bed was comfortable & lunch was good. What I didn’t like was very slow check-in to the most undesirable room that they called an upgrade.It had a parking lot view with lots of noises . It was very crowded with conventions , and they didn’t have enough pool chairs for all the guests. My husband couldn’t take the crowds at the resort so we took extra book excursions around the island and left the resort. At the beginning of our trip we stayed at the Waliea Beach villas and had a wonderful non crowded stay. Then we went to The Timbers Kauai and also had a wonderful non crowded stay! The Kea Lani at least burst our bubble and made us want to come home!

Property is great. Lots of room but never feels crowded even though the pool isn’t that big and it was fully booked when we stayed. The beach is very chill, no waves but r strong currents. Dining options are good, limited if you want casual options. Staff is incredibly pleasant to deal with. We brought 3 kids with us and the experience was terrific.

This was our second stay and it was still a beautiful property with wonderful staff in a great location. The view and direct access to the beach is nice. The pools are well maintained and not overly crowded even during peak summer times. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, and seem brand new. For families, an underrated perk is a laundry room with free washers and dryers. We’ll be back!

We stayed at the Fairmont for 5 nights with our family (three kids ages 6-13) and it was perfect. The room was spacious with a huge bathroom/tub, the staff was wonderful in all regards, the pools were great, private beach access was very easy, everything was clean, easy self-parking for our rented car. Some additional things we enjoyed were water bottles in the room (water refill stations throughout the hotel so you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on water), complimentary shuttle to nearby hotels/restaurants (Grand Wailea, Four Seasons), and bell desk providing towels and water bottles when we went to Hana and nearby beaches. Hubby also enjoyed the Canoe Experience that comes your booking! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Gorgeous property with wonderful staff. The food was amazing at all restaurants. Our only complaint is that it took a long time to get service at the adult only pool.

Food was mediocre. Need more choices. Very expensive for what you get. Not 5 star. Barely 4 star. Rooms were fantastic. Service very good. Beach great.

The resort was beautiful. Very clean and peaceful. Our room was lovely and spacious with a wonderful view. The food options were not great, there were 3 restaurants to pick from. The food itself was subpar. One restaurant was being renovated during our stay, so the construction noise next to the adult pool was a bit loud. Pool chairs were limited and the cost of a cabana was the most expensive we’ve ever paid. Our experience overall was okay, I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. Dining and pool amenities could use some improvements in my opinion.
