Walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbor’s podcast word for word with our tv on. Dogs on the first floor of the property could be heard on the 3rd floor. Constant barking our entire stay including all hours of the night.

I booked this hotel because our usual hotel was booked in regards to their pet friendly rooms. I read review after review about this hotel. They claimed it was clean, nice, etc. Let me tell you something... they were lying. This hotel was dirty. The pictures online are extremely deceiving. I knew as soon as i entered the lobby that it was going to be nasty. The outside area has trash everywhere. We went into the room and immediately noticed it was run down. The headboards had fingerprints and smudges like grease all over it. Upon wiping them down at the top it had layers of dust. There was dust all behind the table between the beds along with dirt. I mean years of it. There is dust all over the table lamps, tables and inside the drawers. The sitting not only looked gross but felt nasty. In the bathroom under the sink was layers of dust and dirt. The ceiling tiles were old and coming out of the ceiling. They were rusted as well. There were holes and dents in the wall as well. The only good thing about the hotel were the staff. Each one we encountered were polite. We were not pleased with the hotel. I have no idea where people are saying its clean because the entire parking lot, areas outside and room were trashed. The rooms look nothing like pictures.

Very Poor Condition & not clean

Room was not clean especially the toilet that had previous occupant "stuff" left in it. Rust around the doors and brown caulking; outside doors falling apart and do not shut all the way so AC - which is very noisy - does not work well. None of the windows open in the guest rooms so forget about hearing the ocean - which is awful since no ceiling fans - claustrophobic and smelly. Staff are very nice but unfortunately this property is out of date and in poor repair.

Awesome location

Awesome location! Staff were very nice and accommodating, beach access was convenient and hotel overall was nicely decorated and clean. My only small not really a complaint was the indoor pool could use a little attention, towels were not always available so I’d have to go ask at the front desk and it didn’t seem as though the pool was cleaned regularly as we were there for a week and I never saw anyone staff wise in there.

3 out of 5 stars We stayed at the Ramada for a beach getaway and appreciated its close proximity to the ocean—it was very convenient and made getting to the beach quick and easy. Unfortunately, the onsite restaurant was closed Sunday & Monday which was disappointing since we were hoping for a convenient breakfast & dinner option. The room itself was okay overall, but the bathroom definitely needed some attention. There were visible rust spots, and the toilet seat was chipped in multiple places, which took away from the overall cleanliness and comfort. We stayed on the first floor, is dedicated to pet-friendly rooms. I didn’t raise any complaints with the staff because I chose to focus on enjoying the trip, but for nearly $700, I expected a better presentation and upkeep.

Ramada OBX - needs upgrades !!

This hotel is in terrible shape. Smelly & old. Our AC started making a loud noise at night & the bathroom main shower knob was broken. We could not sleep at night due to the AC noise. They offered to change the room at 12.30 am with a caveat that the avaiable room has an adjoining door & there could be someone in the adjoining room.😳. On complaining the next day they gave us just a $25 discount on the room tariff which was ridiculously above $400 per night. How can they charge $400 per night for this hotel?? We had booked for 3 nights however checked out in 1 night. The only positive is that it has beach views however the uncut grass between the beach & hotel takes away from the view.

enjoyed the ocean view, outdoor bar & restaurant, cleanliness of the room & hotel, cleaning staff were cordial and supplied what we needed. Carpet in the rooms needs replacing badly or go with another type of hard surface, mattress needed replacing (had stains & too soft). What bothered me most was the front desk staff.. none of them were welcoming, person checking me in didn’t have the knowledge to do his job & the front desk manager did not assist him & was unwelcoming also. The first impression a traveler gets is from the person at the front desk. If they don’t greet you with a smile and seem glad to have you stay there, it gives you a very negative impression of the hotel. Wyndman Ramada needs to address the issue of its front desk staff to make a better first impression of travelers staying there.
