Our family vacation was a success and enjoyable for the entire family. The staff were all very welcoming and professionals. My grandkids enjoyed the beach and the pool, while mom and dad went our for a date night. Booking the Whale watching was amazing. I'm so thankful we were able to have joining rooms to help with the kiddos. This place is beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend staying here. I will be back.

Lovely hotel and staff were excellent- especially culture experiences offered for free at hotel, particularly lady who taught us history and ukulele. Maui Brewing onsite was great and nice room. The only thing which lets hotel down is the pool which is more just a children’s pool. But you’re on the sea front so this is where we swam instead. We hope to return!

Exceeded expectations! Laid back, authentic Hawaiian vibes, a true getaway within paradise. Amazing staff that really care about making it a great experience for all guests and the only resort that offers free on-site cultural activities. Less than 10 minute walk to whalers village, right on black rock beach with a lot of dining options close by, including Maui Brewing on-site.

The hotel is located in a very convenient area that is walkable to some restaurants and dining options which is nice. The beach is beautiful and water is great, very swimmable. The resort itself is dated, rooms have been upgraded somewhat but the pricing was much better than some of the other hotels right next to this resort. One thing I did not like and wish we were told was that housekeeping is only provided on the 4th day. Each day we had to ask for towels, trash to be taken out, etc. This should have been mentioned at check in but I also think that housekeeping should be provided daily. I understand that during Covid there was concern and some hotels had no contact or limited contact and hence the housekeeping was every 4th day. However, we are no longer in a pandemic and they have still kept this practice. They charge a daily resort fee but the loungers are only available by the pool/grassy area and are very outdated as well as the towels. If you want a lounger by the beach you have to pay $25 to rent one. All in all it was a great stay just I wish we were given a heads up about housekeeping.

Loved the low key feel to the hotel. We stayed in a refurbished ocean front room. Very nice. Would have loved room service! We were celebrating our 45 anniversary and they left a nice bottle of champagne and decorated our bed. The concierge was helpful booking an excursion, which we used our VIP award towards. A few days the showers to wash the sand off was broken and ended up having to use the pool. Pool bar was nice but it would be nice to have servers at the pool. Overall we were very happy and the price was reasonable for an ocean front room.

Staff was amazing, super friendly, they would make sure you were adressed any time you passed by. Pretty quiet , no kids running up and down the hallways. Its an open hotel plan so you walk right out of your room to fresh air, hallways are outside. Pool is accessible, its near by and covered by palm trees. Beach is super close and accessible. I wish they had a gym , other than that super relaxing to stay here!

Absolutely amazing resort! From the friendly staff all around the resort to the complimentary cultural activities guests could take part it. It made our first visit to Hawai’i one of the most amazing vacations we have had. Our room was amazing with double sliding doors opening to an ocean view. Highly recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities

This hotel has an old Hawaiian feel. Nice grounds. Rooms are being updated. My room was clean and comfortable. The Maui Brewing company on the property is a big plus. One pool no hot tub. Great location to other resorts, restaurants and shopping.
