If you’re looking for a clean, welcoming, and well-located place to stay in South Lake Tahoe, Alpine Inn & Spa is an excellent choice. I would absolutely give it five stars and can’t wait to return!

I don't know where to begin, I don't know if it's the fault of Hotels.com or the hotel itself. But first, let's start with the hotel description on the website. It's described as "deluxe" with two queen beds and a bathtub. And you get none of that. There are two full-size beds and no bathtub. The room was dirty, the microwave was dirty, the towels were stained, there were cobwebs in the bathroom. I don't think anyone could use the coffee maker because it was so dirty, and the person at the front desk is never there. If you need anything, you have to call on the phone for the front desk person to show up. The woman on the evening shift has a bad attitude. I think if they charge you for a deluxe room, you expect something, not necessarily five-star, but at least something that matches the description. I spoke with someone from Hotels.com about this problem, but it was too late to cancel the hotel; it was 11 pm. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. But the website or the hotel should change the description and be more accurate. Because this is not "deluxe" at all. The hotel's jacuzzi is small, only for 3 or 4 people, because if more people use it, the water overflows. Again, the description on Hotels.com is not accurate. There are no two queen beds, they are full-size.
