We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Blue Elk Inn. We walked from the Inn into town every day- very walkable! The bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was tasty! We would definitely stay there again!

Been here a few times, we love it. The staff is great, free breakfast is great and it’s close to the roller coaster rides. Only thing we hate is they close the hot tub too early. Otherwise it’s 10/10.

The Blue Elk Inn Is a wonderful place to stay. The good: The room was clean and very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The place was very quiet and didn’t hear any noise from the neighbors except from the hallway. The view of the mountains was spectacular. It was an easy 15 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. The breakfast food was delicious. There were only two minor things that could be improved: The in room gas fireplace could be turned up a bit higher. There wasn’t very much flame when turned on And the vanity light above the sink was a bit dim. This was a great place and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Loved our stay! Room was nice and spacious, hot breakfast was a highlight! Would be 5 stars if the hot tub was functioning during our stay. I specifically booked this place because of the hot tub, and was really bummed that it wasn’t functioning until our last day. Staff didn’t offer any sort of discount either.

It was wonderful. Not just dog tolerant. Truly dog friendly! The two saunas were great and being able to reserve them for half-hour blocks made it really nice. Courteous staff. The best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel in years!

I returned to Blue Elk with family and friends after spending the New Year and having a great stay in one of their suites. This time we chose a smaller room as we only stayed for one night (room 211). Everything was great as the first time, except for the VERY noisy A/C device. It felt like you had your grannie's old truck running next to your bed. It also needs some fixing on the thermostat, as even though it was set to 68 degrees for the night, we felt like being in a sauna. Only the morning after we understood why the previous guest had left the window slightly open. They surely felt the excessive heat not matching what the A/C display showed. Breakfast was good overall with burritos and miniburgers and coupled with fresh fruit, yogurt and fresh coffee. Very walkable to the rest of the town if you are not a lazy slob (20 min walk to the main plaza) or are afraid of cold weather in the winter. Will surely return again as overall this is a very pretty hotel with a good rates and clean rooms without that old carpet smell you get on other hotels in town.

We love the location of this property. We walk back and forth to Leavenworth every day. It is quiet, the breakfast is very hearty and hot. The only down side is that the beds are really hard and the rooms are small with no comfortable place to sit. The small decks are nice and have a small table on them. That would be great in good weather. We will come back as it is a good value and we love the location.

It could have been better

Pros: *Quiet *Clean room & bath *Nicely remodeled *Good breakfast Cons: *Uncomfortable foam mattress, hip area indented deeply and sinks too far *No door/door frame gaskets allows hallway noise too much *Hotel staffs do not greet guests *It might be a little too far to walk 20 minutes in 15 degree weather to the main attraction of the town for some falks to avoid $4.50 an hour city parking fee.
