Refund for one day due to mom dying

Our stay went very well the first night. Scott was amazing, the rooms very clean, and everything in working order. Thursday I went for my medical appointment the reason I had to be in Virginia and received a call that my mom passed away so we needed to leave Friday instead of Saturday. We asked about refund because of that and manager said no. We booked it through 3rd party non refundable. However I contacted Hotels.com and explained to them what had happened and as of today they still are working on Redroof to see if we can’t get a one day refund. This was a very unforeseen circumstance so I truly believe it should be taken into account definitely. Something that was out of our control and being 500+ miles away we needed to be back home with my family.

Pleasure trip to Shenandoah valley area

Overall good experience. Check in was great / personable friendly service. Room furniture was up to date, bed comfortable, quiet except for maids across hallway were loud after check-in but that didn't last long time I would definitely stay here in future

Good place to stay overnight. Room was clean, simple decor. Very friendly front desk. Nice simple grab & go breakfast with coffee, apples, yogurt, bagels & cereals. Ample parking.

Adequate. Stayed for 1 night on a long road trip. Rooms are clean and newly remodeled. Common areas were clean enough. “Breakfast” was pretty much just bagels and a teeny tiny cup of coffee, but for the price, I would stay again.

Great overnight stay

This was a quick overnight stay on an emergency trip from FL to north of Syracuse NY. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and as a solo female I felt safe immediately. He made sure I had a room not far the desk and it was even accessible for me. The room was clean, but there was a little musty smell. It wasn't enough to make me even want to say anything. I did not use the heat/AC s it was very loud, but I don't need it. I arrives after 9:30 pm and was back in the road at 6:00 am. The bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable and overall got the price, a nice stay.
