The exterior appearance and surroundings caused some initial concern, however the interior was clean and updated. The pool was not available due to broken down heater. There are walkable restaurants/convenience stores from this hotel.

La Quinta has always been a great place to stay. I do miss receiving a check in goody bag. Not sure if All Laquinta offers that.
