Location next to the airport is great however we booked a “queen or 2 twin room” and were given a 2 twin room with zero warning at check in. It was literally my husband and I and in the past we’ve been asked which we prefer, however this was just forced on us. The room itself wasn’t very clean, there was mold in the shower and lots of dusty areas. Additionally it was extremely hot and loud. We kept checking to make sure the windows were closed because of all the road noise and heat despite the ac allegedly being on, it didn’t seem to be working very well. The noise was unexpected as we were on the fifth floor. You can’t use the pool without a swim cap which they will sell you for 3 euros, but the whole pool area didn’t seem clean as well therefore we skipped it. We’ve stayed at Melia properties before and this was somehow the worst one. I’m not one to write bad reviews I just wanted to be honest for future travelers as we had such an uncomfortable experience.

Had a delay coming into Lisbon and was very worried it would be too late to check in. Not only did the team at Mélia make it a smooth process, they made sure we got something to eat before the kitchen closed and gave us little trolley cookies. The room was beautiful and I only wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel. Breakfast was substantial and open early. Shuttle comes every 15 minutes but hotel is just a short walk from the terminal. Would not hesitate to stay again!

Great airport hotel

Second time in the hotel so there was a level of familiarity but the check in process was great, the facilities are very good. The rooms are starting to look a bit worn in places and could ideally do with a tidy up, but overall a great airport hotel, with great facilities and a lovely breakfast.
