No A/C and the fans did not work. The rooms got really hot and it was not even that hot outside. The room next door had music going on and I could hear them talk all night. The staff are nice just.

Our trip was interrupted by a almost fatal family emergency. I contacted the property and expedia right away. Neither would help us to wither reschedule the trip or even refund part of it. Sometime life cant be planned and there should be exceptions for that. We are very disappointed there was noteven an attempt at a solution.

Best stay!

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious, spotless, and nicely updated. The bunk beds were a little squeaky, but that’s pretty common with metal bunks and didn’t bother us at all. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Long Beach—we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Overall good stay with family of 4 and two dogs. There were things under the furniture like hair and items of previous guests. The electrical panels in the units are recalled and need to be replaced.

Tired of the loud music

I wish I could give this place a better rating because the staff was great. The room was good, but the furniture was very firm/hard to sit on, and the bed was way too soft. But the main reason for the low rating was because of the road noise at night & the food business across the street blaring their music from 8am to 8pm and later. If you stay in your room for any period of time during those hours, that's all you hear. You can't even hear the TV at a normal volume. Also, if want to relaxe after dinner in your room, forget about it. You won't be able to with the loud music playing.

Very clean and convenient for families. Kitchen is a bit low on supplies. AC didn't work and bedside clock wasn't functioning. Street can be a bit noisy as it's near an arterial. But, overall a great place.

The Coastal Inn is a great spot to stay in Long Beach. It is a humble little space, clean and comfortable. No frills, just all the basics you need. Easy check in and checkout, kind and friendly staff. Room is minimal, which is appreciated by us. Dog and kid friendly. May I suggest adding mirrors above dressers in rooms so others can use the bathroom for getting ready. Other than that, keep up the good work Coastal. See you when we are back in town!
