This was my second stay here. I love the location, the small quaint hotel feel, the staff is incredibly nice. The main complaint is the noise from the floor above. Just a heads up, there is not much insulation. A loud foot could pose a pretty noisy stay. I will stay here again, on the top floor.

initial problems with the room; safe didn't work. Lobby bathroom is locked, even to the guests. If you need it you have to get staff to let you in. Why don't they use a combinat=ion lock for the guests

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Gateway hotel. The hotel will be going under renovation and if anything, maybe it could be stylistically updated, but the rooms were clean, all basics were covered, and the staff was very courteous. I do recommend you check to confirm the updated parking price as it was not updated on third-party website.

Check in was a piece of cake! Plenty of parking and the front desk staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The Gateway has my favorite set up - the sink and mirror outside of the bathroom. That way, I can do my hair and make-up while my husband is showering. There’s a great restaurant adjacent to the hotel as well. Very close to St. John’s. We would stay here again!
