If your stay is for pleasure, stay away

Horrible horrible horrible area, mediocre staff, awful parking with broken elevator and poor instructions to get to and into the lobby, leaky toilet, expensive lobby snacks and they only take cash for it, no cell service and nobody bothered to let us know the WiFi info or that there was WiFi when we asked about service, slow cable tv with limited channels, noisy with outside noise and inside due to thin walls (we could hear everything from downstairs, upstairs, down the hall, outside, people’s tvs), and lastly a subpar breakfast. The pros is that the room was clean and updated, they had night security (which was highly needed as the area is seriously awful) and parking and breakfast was included. Coffee for breakfast was ok. If you are staying to actually enjoy LA and vacationing, stay away at all costs. It would be ok for if you just need a cheap place to sleep.

Excellent hotel and staff, but a rou area of town

The property was great, the staff was excellent, and the breakfast was tasty. Unfortunately, the area that the hotel is in was quite rough. I would not have felt comfortable if I had brought my family with me, even travelling solo I didn't feel safe walking to/from the Metro station at night. It's good if you're driving or Ubering to and from, but the walk to the Metro is quite rough. The hotel staff do a great job though, everything within their control was fantastic, but the area around the hotel needs to be cleaned up.

Area was sketchy for sure. But the staff assured our cars in garage were safe with security. You needed a key to enter building which was good. The room was big and comfortable. Clean for sure. Only problem we had was the water was never hot. It took mins of it being on to turn somewhat warm. We let the staff know, and they said it was fixed but it was maybe a tiny bit warmer. We were a family of 5 so we had to take quick showers to get warm showers.

Outside the property is homeless people and a little dirty. But dont let that lead you away from the hotel. It was very nice inside. Very clean, nice room and the breakfast was great too. Also a plus it had parking.

ON SKID ROW, DO NOT GO!!!

This hotel is on skid row. Had we known this we would have stayed elsewhere. The kids were constantly hot on by old men. They are 11 and 13 year old girls. I thought someone was going to stab me and steal our pizza! We had to download the police scanner after hearing sirens over and over and loud noises and people screaming and yelling. In just one night we heard on the scanner in our area alone, two literal kidnappings, a man strangling a small white dog, several police chases, domestics with stabbings, multiple shots fired and more!!! You can't go out at night unless you want to be messed with. The staff acts like it's no big deal. It costs a small fortune to park across the street in the so called "safer garage". They say it's safer because it has " security all night. So we had to go to the car around three am to get some stuff and when the lady opened the garage gate, four Hispanic boys wearing all back with backpacks darted across the street and ran into the garage before she could close it! We were the only vehicle parked there! Then we went to tell security and he was of no help. Just said it's fine, I can't see them anywhere on camera! Don't do it! My kids are so traumatized that I'm going to ask for a full refund!

The worst place I’ve ever been

Front desk kept me standing out site for 20 minutes in the cold without opening the door. I don’t think she thought of me as a guest. The date and time was February 4th around 7.30pm. The walls all around are so thin you can hear the next room and the once above very disturbing. The surrounding area to the property very very dangerous definitely not walkable at all. Please don’t stay here. Stayed one night and couldn’t wait to leave I. The morning.
