We asked for pool view and got it however, we were given a ground floor room and had ants the entire time we were there! Other than that, I highly recommend Sonesta. Everything about it was awesome! The shows, entertainment, staff, food, area, pool and beach!

The property is just ok. The food was good overall in all 7 restaurants. Most of the staff seem unhappy and unpleasant, not friendly at all. The entertainment was ok. I wouldn’t return to this property if I visit again.

Where do I begin. The pool was nice. The bartenders at the pool were excellent. The room was clean. A little dated but clean. Now for the bad. Front desk personnel had no personality and were largely unhelpful. Food was just okay. We had to go to the Morgan for a decent meal. We even went to Phillipsburg to the Caribbean Cafe for some spectacular Jamaican food. Finally, beware of two additional things that are not advertised in the beginning. You will get hit with a $50 a night room charge which is beyond stupid given that this is an all inclusive resort. it is nothing short of silly to tie people’s money up when everything is included in the all inclusive. Also, and this is not a resort criticism, but beware of the taxis everyone. They charge per person. So, if 1 person in 1 vehicle is traveling 5 min away for $5, a group of 4 in 1 vehicle will pay $20. Same distance. Same car. Just a money grab. Finally, this resort is serious about not allowing those who stay at the Maho to visit the premises of the Ocean, even if you are an adult. The Maho was sold out and part of my party paid the extra money to visit the resort and stayed in the Ocean. Us Maho folks were unable to participate in ALL ADULT activities because we stayed at the Maho. I’ll visit Sint Maarten again but my group will pass on staying at the Sonesta again. We rate the experience as okay.

I HAD A 1 YEAR OLD BABY WITH ME THAT I COULDNT BATHE BECUASE OF NO HOT WATER. NOONE SEEMED TO EVEN CARE. NOONE HAD A SIMPLE SMILE ON THEIR FACE. Love the property had everything we needed. The planes landing next to the beach were very cool to watch! They only land during the day so no loud noise at night.

The location is perfect but the condition of the this resort was disappointing. Our room was musty, bed sheets were never changed, we had no hot water for a day, there was mildew/mold in our the washroom. It is more of a party resort than a family resort. The food was good at the Italian restaurant on the resort. The staff was not friendly. I would not recommend this resort.

The room was big enough. The bed was OK. The food was good to me. Most people have something to say about the food, but the food choice was great.
