It was nice and we really could have walked to Shepler’s Ferry (11 minutes) to Mackinac Island instead of using the van. It was conveniently located to Joann’s Fudge (best in town), restaurants and sights.

Great hotel and perfect location. A short walk to groceries, souvenirs, restaurants and even the ferry. The staff was very friendly especially Carol and helped with several items. Breakfast was good. I would highly recommend this hotel. One thing of note, the hotel called for the ferry shuttle for us, but after waiting about 20 minutes and seeing 2 shuttles leave from the public location across the steet we gavevup and went to the public shuttle stop
