The stay was ok. To break it down: Pros: The whirlpool tub was nice. The walkout to the beach was very convenient. The location was decent and had a lot of parking. Cons: The shower had a legit crack in the tub. We reported it, they did nothing to rectify it so we had to bathe in the jet tub instead because we couldn't use our shower. The room SMELLED. It was like a mix of chlorine and mildew. It did not dissipate, it did not get better. It was gross. The bed was very hard. This is more a personal preference, I don't like a real hard mattress but it made my hips hurt. The bedding felt dingy and smelled like the room. I would not stay here again.

I should not expect a lot from a 2* hotel. It felt like we stayed at the motel, but oh well, we said one night is fine. It was loud, outdated. The receptionist did not accommodate us with any options to get our room any earlier. The bedside had some metal hooks on a side which was dangerous not to get hurt in the middle of the night.

Very conveniently located next to Arnold ferry transit. Just walked right over. The clerk was very friendly and helped us upgrade our room. Rooms are just average so dont expect to go WOW when you walk in. Lol. But the rooms on beach side are great for the location. And it didnt say on the site but our room had a microwave along with the fridge. So that was a nice surprise. I would stay here again. The price is right comparatively.

Location is fabulous. Stayed on 2nd floor..and kept patio door open all night to hear the water. Very peaceful. Also had a deck we could sit on and watch the sunrise. Beautiful. Hotel itself was ok but it mught be time to remodel a bit.

I was alittle hesitant about staying here after reading some negative reviews. I decided to check for myself anyway. Im happy i did. The room was very nice, clean and the AC worked perfectly. The view of the lake was beautiful. Staff checking in and out was extremely nice. I will atay there again.

Plenty of potential here. We enjoyed the beach front walk-out patio of room 107, comfortable King bed and the Jacuzzi tub was excellent! The room was clean and attractive; towels were replenished daily. We enjoyed convenient walking access to the ferry, restaurants and shopping. Check-in was quick and desk clerk friendly, helpful and personable. The shower was powerful with plenty of HOT water, but the bathtub had a crack in the floor (which could be the source of the mildew problem mentioned below). Coffee in the lobby but no breakfast. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was only warm and only two jets were functioning. The hallway windows and screens needed cleaning: dusty and dirt accumulation with tons of dead flying insects. The exterior needs repairs: several sections of roof gutters were laying around in the landscaping. Also some trash scattered around the building and the beach areas that never was tended to during our 3-night stay. The patio carpet had heavy moss growing along the outer edge. We were most disappointed with the strong odor of mildew in the room. We kept the patio door open to allow fresh air in, but it would be overwhelming again after being closed up when we went out. We would not stay again if we return to Mackinaw City.

The room smelled like amonia, the wall paper was peeling and everything just felt dirty. The amount of chlorine in the air from the pool burns your eyes. The staff was friendly and i want to make it clear its not the staff. This place needs to be gutted and rennovated bad. Its a cheap stay and conveniently placed next to starline. Wouldnt really recommend until the redo this place.

We had a lake FRONT room and it was pretty awesome. Coffee on the balcony and watching ferries come and go as Arnold's pier was right next to us. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were pretty clean for an older building.
