The property is clean but outdated. Had everything we needed and a nice outdoor area along the water. The highway is very busy and the roosters are crazy loud early in the morning

Great Location

This was our 2nd trip to the Keys and we liked the Marathon location (on the water!). Our room was very spacious except for a very tiny bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our only "complaint" was roosters crowing throughout the night and waking us up multiple times. Seems the wild chickens are becoming more prevalent here and probably not much to do about it unless you stay in a high rise.

Full size beds instead of queen.

The front desk lady was personable and welcoming but the room was not what we purchased. Our reservation was for 2 queen size beds and a pull out couch. Both beds were full size beds and the pull out couch was larger than the beds. We spoke to the front desk about this and we were told that they recently renovated or upgraded and all rooms should be queen size beds. She asked what room we were in and said she would make note of it to be checked and said some rooms may have gotten overlooked. There was no resolution offered for the situation, but the next morning when we checked out, there was another room number added to the sticky note about wrong size beds. The facility was clean, but it was definitely crowded sleeping.

The property worked well for a single Person staying. I would not stay there with my family as the rooms are small. Rooms are in need of some renovation, but it was a clean place to sleep. Unfortunately, the roosters wake you up at the crack of dawn every morning so do not expect to sleep in.

One night in the Keys

My husband and I spent one night in Kingsail motel. It is an older place but clean. The kingsize bed was comfortable, the wifi in the room was not strong but outside it was ok. There is a nice pool- not heated- and the view is on a Channel. We thought it was very expensive but in the Keys all is overpriced.

Nice property with pool and deck overlooking water. Was impressed with room. Large living room / kitchen combo separate from bedroom and bathroom. Even had a small walk in closet. Nice lady at front desk and efficient. Couldn’t get anything out of shower dispensers. Cleaning staff should check. Frustrating to not have shampoo and soap. Only Luke warm water shower but both sinks were hot. Nice to have coffee on deck with pretty setting.

Don’t stay here!

Room was on water but very old and outdated. Water or pipes stunk, cracked floor in tiny tile shower stall so leaked everywhere. Like a motel 6 or worse.. I do not recommend this property, definitely wasted $233 they charged!

Nice ma & pop place to stay. Nothing super fancy but a decent place to stay for the price. Rooms were very clean, beds were more comfortable than some of the big chain hotels. Front desk was very helpful w/suggestions on places to eat & shop. Would stay here again.

We had a very comfortable stay. I wish there had been a shelf or hooks in the bathroom, would have made morning rituals easier. The pool area, especially the upper sitting area was quite nice. We would like to return some time in the future.
