This two bedroom, two bath home features a newly remodeled kitchen and dining area and updates through-out the home with new bathroom updates, furniture, artwork and interior finishes. Private office is located off of main bedroom. Wrap around screened porches overlooking Sombrero Lagoon and your private 85 foot protected dock with lighted fish cleaning station, underwater fish lighting, bait freezer and outdoor shower. Gentle, easy to navigate steps to the living areas. The NEW kitchen includes all the cookware and tools to satisfy the chief in you. Architecturally designed Cyprus beamed construction makes this place really special for your perfect vacation getaway. French door refrigerator, stove and washer and dryer. Eight Bikes, 3 kayaks, bait freezer and fishing poles provided for guests use. Direct deep water boating access to Atlantic with no bridges and no tidal navigation issues even for deep draft vessels.

We love Mockingbird Point, on this property you have that resort feeling of high end amenities and the solitude needed to get away and relax. I have an enjoyable and busy career, the owners have a nice quiet office space to use when necessary. Although the tiki hut by the pool is often one of my favorite work places. If you have a busy career or a busy family life, this is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The location is great to all the day and nightlife attractions in Marathon. The island life experience on this property is excellent, it’s hard coming home after a week on Mockingbird Point. A few stays at this property over the last five years has us convinced that we need to find our own property in Marathon and create an island getaway that will be ours. Until then we will be returning to Mockingbird Point for all of our future Marathon trips. The owners are excellent, they communicate early and just often enough to make you feel welcomed in their home. They are always readily available if you should have any questions or if anything were to arise during your stay. They are very gracious hosts, they want to to love Marathon as much as they do.

The Burkhart’s are fabulous hosts! The property is beautiful, tucked away by gorgeous foliage and a private pool. There is a wrap around porch offering many views. We return every year!

This place is amazing!!! We instantly felt at home! The host provides everything you could ever need to have a perfect vacation- bicycles, kayaks, fishing poles, a private dock with a fish light that attracts fish, a pool with toys- we could not have asked for a better time! They even have a manatee that makes daily visits. We will definately stay again!

Let me preface this review by saying I'm a "Freshwater Conch" who went to Key West High School and have returned to the Keys over and over for high school reunions and just to vacation.This is a Beautiful property in the heart of Marathon, which I think is one of the best Keys mainly because it's not overrun with tourists. Only an hour from Key West, this perfect waterfront home is comfortable and nicely appointed like an island house should be. The landscaping is beautiful and hanging at the pool is relaxing, with the waterfront just feet away.We used the bikes and the kayaks and even fished a little bit off the gorgeous dock. Mockingbird Pointe has everything you need to enjoy your waterfront stay.To sum it up, we plan on moving to the keys one day and we thought this house would be perfect type of house to live in and enjoy the Keys life during our retirement!I highly recommend this VRBO and owners Phil and Linda who made our stay so perfect. Great proactive communication and attention to detail!

Great vacation location with handy travel and check-in information provided prior to arrival. The house was wonderful with clean and well-maintained grounds and pool. Absolutely the best home we've ever had the opportunity to spend our two week vacation in Marathon! Philip and Linda were amazing hosts. Communications were excellent from the moment we arrived. Amazing property. Feels so private and secluded. Very nice full size pool that actually feels refreshing in the summer heat. Great dock access makes docking your boat very easy. Kids caught more than 40 fish from the dock, but the many tarpon hanging around were too elusive unfortunately. Owners are great. Kids want to come back next year!

We loved everything about this house! The tropical landscaping is gorgeous and adds to the private and secluded feel of the property. The dock was a hit. We saw fish, sharks, and a manatee. Plenty of room for our 22 ft boat. We had everything we needed and more. The host was quick to respond to our questions and truly the luckiest person to own this beautiful home

Relaxing Retreat

Our stay was amazing! The house is wonderful! It is situated among large trees and lush landscaping making it feel private and secluded, but is also close to stores and restaurants. Our Private Resort

That's what it felt like, our own private resort. The abundant flora and fauna had us totally isolated from neighboring properties yet we still had a lovely and expansive view of the lagoon where we saw dolphins and manatees. The home was lovely both inside and out. The house description did not do it justice, it was even more beautiful than listed. We had use of numerous outdoor equipment, washer/dryer, well equipped kitchen, and a very, very relaxing pool and garden area. I can not see another rental experience ever being as nice as this. Oh, and communication with the owners was very quick. "Thank you" to the home owners.

Resort Vibe, just relax vacation spot!

We loved everything about this vacation home. Well taken care of with plenty of things to do. Fished off the dock, caught some neat fish, saw manatees swimming next to the dock, quick kayak trip, bicycle ride to the beach a few times, and lots of pool time too. So convenient to the stores and great restaurants in the area. The house had everything you need for amenities. Amazing 8 day stay of enjoying this tropical private retreat. Gorgeous property inside and outside and would stay again. Don't pass up booking this Marathon property. Hidden Gem.

Wonderful Surprise

This was our 4th stay at Mockingbird Pointe. We walked into a very pleasant surprise. The kitchen has been newly remodeled since our stay in 2024.There has also been updates in the bathrooms and other areas of the house. It looks fantastic. The property is gorgeous as ever.
