Not what we were expecting

We were all surprised by the condition of the trailer/cottage we were assigned to. The AC did a mediocre job of cooling the place and the TV didn't work. Worst of all was the incredibly strong (horrible) odor(s) drifting up from the beach area...and that beach, btw, is unusable. Also worth noting: two nearby dumpsters filled with garbage. The one positive was the on-site tiki bar and food truck.

Tropical Cottages is everything you dreamed a stay in the keys would be. We stayed in cottage 3, with the two queen beds. It was adorable. We were both impressed with how spacious the room felt, even with the adorable little kitchenette they built in to the space. The room was clean and well taken care of. You can feel the pride of ownership radiating through the space. Will definitely be staying here again when I come back to the keys.

I've stayed at this property numerous times. Every time is a wonderful experience. The staff are professional, organized, and helpful when I had questions. I will always come back here in fhe future. I give Tropical Cottages my highest recommendation! You eill not be disappointed.

It cost way too much for a room with an outdoor toilet and shower it was nasty. The staff was not helpful at all. Imagine what it’s like using the toilet when it’s raining. This wasn’t not stated in any email.

Bathroom outside!!

It would have been nice if they would have told me a head of me arriving that our bathroom was outside!!! We couldn’t take a shower this morning because it was too cold outside. There was no outlet in the bathroom and no mirror in the bedroom. The place was clean with plenty of towels. I only give it a 3 because of the bathroom. I was very disappointed by that. The rest was fine.

This was an excellent choice. We arrived at 10 pm and the directions sent before checking in were perfect. Had absolutely no trouble and the grounds were very well taken care of. Super cute cottages and very comfortable.

Cute little cottages, all painted in a bright color. Grounds are kept clean and manicured. There is a small Tiki bar that was fun, drinks very inexpensive. No pool. Only c/o is that cabins that are adjoined have no insulation, so you can hear your neighbor. Luckily, ours went to bed by 11pm, but I could foresee an issue if you got a bad neighbor. No breakfast, but free coffee at the Tiki bar.

The tropical cottages was a spectacular place to stay. Online check in did not work well and the lady i dealt with when i arrived spoke zero English, although she did get me checked in and showed me to my cottage. The scenery outside the cottage was beautiful, and the cottage itself was inviting and comfortable. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
