Check in was the worst experience in a lifetime of traveling. I arrived at 3:15pm, room was not ready and I was told to come back at 4 pm, which is regular check in time. I came back at 4 pm. Room still not ready. New guest, without a reservation, arrived at 4:15 pm and was able to get a room. At 4:25 pm, clerk told me that my room would now be cleaned! I didn't get my room until 5:05 pm.

Front desk staff very rude. The person checking my husband in grabbed his phone to verify his license plate. Later that day police were everywhere due to potential harassment with that same clerk. The next night the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and no apologies or relief were provided. No one had a reason for it to have gone off for about 15 minutes. Hotel itself is great, comfortable beds and very minimalist design. It gets the job done. But the staff needs a revamp!

The matress on the bed was cheap and uncomfortable and the sheets were not soft at all. The lighting in the room was fluorescent and felt like you were in a hospital. Plus the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. When i got home, the clothes in my suitcase smelled like stale cigarettes.
