I liked being in the art deco district. I enjoyed the king sized bed. It was very comfortable. The room was a good size for 2 people. I liked the hot water, safe & fridge in closet that lit up when the door to it was opened. I enjoyed the AC. I suggest the toilet roll holder be moved as it is right next to the toilet seat. We could also hear our next door neighbors through the wall although the room is supposed to be soundproofed. I was also disappointed that the place didnt have a pool as advertised.

Loved staying at the Avalon. The staff makes it a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious though pricey. But then again, you are in South Beach!!!!!! Would definitely return!!!!!

Our 4-day trip was lovely and we’re glad we stayed at the Avalon Hotel. It’s super walkable to the beach, many restaurants and some shops. It was also easy to catch an uber/taxi to go explore more of Miami.

The Avalon is a great hotel. It’s clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff is so friendly. We liked that the hotel was at the far end of the party bars and restaurants so it was not as noisy as some other hotels.

As the other reviews have indicated, this property is very old. Therefore, you can hear absolutely everything. And I mean everything. A normal conversation comes through the wall walls. It’s not worth the money. The location is spectacular. It was clean. No roaches. You’re in the heart of South Beach.

Great location on the strip and close to the beach. I was a bit nervous that it would be loud, but this was not a problem. Nice to have beach chairs and towels provided. The room was comfortable and impeccably clean - there was a strong smell of bleach in the corridors when the rooms were being serviced, but it was never an issue in the room. Had breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good, did not have dinner. Staff were always warm and welcoming. On the downside, I was a bit taken aback that we did not receive a statement at the end of our stay and I have a question about charges that was not fully answered.
