The hotel is beautiful, clean and cozy. The reception area is weird. It looks like they tried to transform it into a self serve area but I never saw a single customer using the kiosks and everyone was being helped by a single clerk. The website never mentioned that you needed to have valet parking so that was an unaccounted for expense. The billing was supposed to go on my bosses credit card and they wanted mine on file just for "incidentals". Ok, fine. Then once I checked my bill it shows that everything was charged to my card and it was charged over three days, 10-12 different charges and it didn't match the receipt I was provided at the end. I do not believe anything was charged incorrectly even though there was two "credits" on my account as well. This led to a lot of confusion when trying to turn in my expense account at work. Having said all of that, the hotel itself was very nice, and I would stay there again. For those reasons, I had to remove one star.

Overall really enjoyed this hotel. Major flaws was the shower never felt clean, the grout was very discolored and kind of gross. The pool never had enough pool chairs by it. A minor con was one day the complementary breakfast was over booked. The host was also extremely rude and offered no resolution. When I went to talk to the front desk they comped the resort fee for the day. Wasn’t expecting that but that was awesome of them. If you’re a makeup wearer, the room had a cute area to do makeup however, the area is very poorly lit and the makeup mirror they had in the room the light was burnt out.

Chic, artsy, and full of charm

I loved staying at the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden in Coconut Grove. It’s not your typical hotel—it feels more like a hidden retreat, with Gaudí vibes, lots of greenery, and a rooftop pool that’s pure bliss. The room had a private terrace (yes, please), and the staff made me feel like a queen. Super walkable area too—perfect for grabbing coffee or just getting lost in the Grove’s magic.

Location was A+. Valet service was C. Amenities were C-. Hotel common space was clean, but our bedding on night 1 had to be changed due to stains on sheets and mattress pad before use. No waters in the room or onsite to purchase. No shower doors, so water puddled in the bathroom. Noise level from interior walkways was terrible. With all the issues, except for location, it was overpriced.

we liked the property and all the staff were helpful and friendly. What we didn't like that really made a difference was the lack of available food in room service. And the lack of a cool place indoors to hangout -like a restaurant. A restaurant that could be open and serving all day would have made us recommend the Mayfair to others.

Such a fun stay!!

This was such a fun hotel to stay at! Jason at reception was very welcoming and upgraded our room, which was so unexpected. Could not recommend this stay enough, especially if you are a design lover!
