Mediocre breakfast options although the employees were nice and hardworking. There was no self-parking lot and once it was determined I would not pay the exorbitant $50 for valet parking I was forced to move my car before I even checked in. Parked two blocks away but in a public lot for $4 for the entire night.
Extremely small king room and breakfast was very mediocre with very less options but the bed was very comfortable. The room has no carpet and is good for a very short stay.
Tru is very conveniently located in downtown Minneapolis, near the light rail. Our room was comfortable and modern, as was the bathroom. There are lots of plugs for charging devices. The only thing we didn’t like was the lack of drawers and hanging space. The breakfast was very good, with lots of options. All members of the staff that we encountered were very helpful and friendly.
The room cleaners need to wear gloves...poor hygiene. Going from room to room witgout using glives handling sheets and towels Forks in breakfast area should not be picking ip ebd you eat with everyone toyching that.
We enjoyed our stay!! All staff were wonderful. The only thing that I had a problem with was the constant noise possibly from the Air conditioner running all night. Also, we were unable to turn up the air conditioner(to turn it off) so we were freezing going to bed. We did get an extra blanket which was not enough so we proceeded to sleep in our clothes adding as many layers as we had with us. We were completely exhausted so couldn’t do much more than ask for a blanket. We made it through!
When we book through hotels.com, there is no indication Hilton hotels charge a 100.00 booking fee tgat you get back a week later, in case the room is trashed. So i sprayed down the bathroom even though we didn’t dirty it. My room smelled like garlic whej we checked in. When i brought up these issues the front desk clerk lokked at me like i am from another planet. Clean property just won’t stay at a hilton again.
Room was dirty AND damaged. When excessive fees get incurred for damage, it better not be damaged already. When made aware the state of the room, the comment was, "oh, that room..." Offered another room and was asked to leave my stuff in the bad room. Sketchy. Disappointed, Holiday Inn used to have standards.
The staff that checked us in was rude and are knowledgeable of the area. For the price of the room, it was one of the tiniest I’ve ever been and no matter what you did with the thermostat the room wouldn’t cool down. Oh, and the one window you have in the room when you lift the blinds all you see is the brick wall of the next building.
