We chose this motel for price, so expectations were not very high. This was one of the most comfortable stays on this trip, and we even extended a night to maximize our comfort. It is a basic motel, but with clean, soft, comfortable bedding, and a sparkling clean bathroom with a spacious tub. Would 100% choose again!

The room was very average... It was clean and adequate, but nothing special. A few minor complaints. The toilet needed minor repair. A few times, we had to wiggle the handle a bit to get it to flush. Additionally, there was a slight, but noticeable, mold or mildew smell in the bathroom. One thing I do NOT like is that they charge $10 per night for parking. It may affect whether I stay here again in the future.

The hotel did well with friendly staff and cleanliness. I give 1-star to the hotel for charging a “daily $10 parking fee”. I find this extremely greedy when you’re already paying for the hotel. Finally, I give another 1-star for “creaky ceiling” noises we could people walking around upstairs and also people talking through the wall. Soundproof walls seemed to not exist. Thank goodness they were not doing anything adult rated that my minor child would have heard.

I didn't like that when I got there I had to pay a parking fee and a $100 deposit. (there is a $10 parking fee if you book anywhere but the blu pacific hotel website). I would have liked all of that to be included in the Expedia price. I also had to fill out a form, which delayed my check-in process. But the hotel is clean and close to the aquarium and beach. There are several restaurants within walking distance that are reasonably priced. I would stay there again.

The area is ok... close to our favorite chinese restaurant & easy access to Hwy 1 going to Carmelite Monasterey & Fishermans Wharf ... the room is just right for a couple unwinding for couple days... :)
