Typical not expensive Carmel hotel. Area when most hotels are located, close to good restaurants. Small room. Very thin walls, you hear everything in neighbor rooms and outside as if they are walking in your room. Not very convenient mattress. Microwave and kitchen utensils inthe room, but strangely no bottle opener. Some websites say they have breakfast; pictures in sites including this one show breakfast served. Not true; they do not provide breakfast.

It was nice and very convenient to just walk into town. Front desk was very friendly .However staying on the ground floor w a room above was very very very loud. Anytime people used the stairs it was clunky loud noise. People above us probably walking and talking normally was so loud. We heard their baby cry too during the night. The occupied rooms next to us we didn't hear anything. Try not to stay in a ground floor room. They could use curtains to keep more light out.

Charming but very expensive the weekend we were there. Parking was extra and very difficult. Rooms were spacious but a bit dusty and dressing area off Tub and Toilet area was carpet which we did not like. Worst part were the Expedia terms which pretty much required a cancellation insurance extra charge and unacceptable cancellation policy. Would never use Expedia again

it's very quiet and extremely convenient. THe bed is nice and it's so good to have a full kitchen. The location can't be better, easy walking to all downtown locations and the beach.

The location is beautiful and centered within walking distance to all of the fun shops and restaurants in Carmel. We loved the gardens everywhere on the property! However, the king bed (family cottage) was very uncomfortable. It felt like I was rolling to the side all night—not great support. The housekeeping was also not as expected. They did take out trash and wash some dishes, but many dishes were left out, the beds were basically unmade, and floors were not vacuumed when there was clear dirt/sand all over. Regardless, overall the space was good!

Good Value in Carmel

Quick trip with my brother & puppy while I attended a weekend workshop in Big Sur. I would’ve given it a 5-star rating, but the WiFi was really inconsistent & slow. Overall, cute, clean & comfortable stay that was conveniently located.
