We stayed there for a week and very pleased with our suite. We stayed in 1 bedroom with kitchen, living area and with another bed adjacent to living room. The pictures on expedia.com didn't do it justice. It is also pet friendly hotel. And there is a park about 2 miles away. Its also near Safeway and few more miles there is costco and a shopping center. My only complaint is we wish we each had a dresser. It's near Carmel, Cannery Row. If up to it the wharf at Santa Cruz has real good clam chowder. It was the last restaurant and they sell fresh seafood. I would also recommend Monterey Cookhouse and Chinese Restaurant that are walking distance.

Nice hotel Appears newly updated. Clean, minimal and modern. Nice to have a mini fridge & microwave available in room. The bathroom is spacious and had drawers and a cabinet to put your things in instead of having to keep everything on the counter. Nice touch. The mirror lighting was great. Easier to put on makeup. The jacuzzi tub is amazing and relaxing. You can’t find that in many hotels. Would go back just for that. During day no one is parked there. At night it can get busy, but there was still a few places to park. I like that they are all single story so no noise from above rooms. We had a few issues with the bed. The frame and base are metal, there was an area where the frame and base weren’t soldered. So any small movement was extremely loud and squeaky . We ended up finding the area and sticking a washcloth between where they touch. Helped reduce the noise. The mattress was not very comfortable. Very firm too much for us. I also wish there was a small light near the bed. Only the ceiling had lights so had to get up and turn all lights off. I would have enjoyed a full length mirror to check my whole outfit. There is no ironing board or iron. Luckily on this visit I didn’t need this, but it could be something needed next time. The staff was nice. Housekeeping were friendly and did a good job. We got a great recommendation from office staff for breakfast which helped us find a new favorite breakfast spot. I would visit again.

We enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean with the staff mopping and changing towels every day. The location was also great for exploring Monterrey, Carmel, and Big Sur. We will definitely see be back!

The room had some strange quirks. There were three microwaves-one in each room plus in the kitchen. Same with refrigerators. Seemed a wast of space. The beds were ok but super squeaky. The strangest and most inconvenient was the bathroom sink. It was commercial-like with zero counter space. So basically nowhere to put bathroom items. The faucet was so close to the wall that it wouldn’t turn all the way to hot so I actually had to wash my face in the kitchen sink. The bathroom was big but not a single towel rack or hook in sight. It didn’t lend itself to functionality. It wasn’t a bad experience but we probably wouldn’t stay there again. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice but the lady at check out barely glanced up and just told me to put the key cards in a small bin on the desk. Didn’t ask how our stay was.

We stayed in a two room suite with three beds. No problem there but the bathroom had a very wide sink which left very little countertop space. In addition there was no towel racks. We have stayed at that Lone Oak several times and it's always very clean and we like the location.

Sorry, maybe it was just our room-#1, but many things we were not happy about. For example- very loud A/C, the shower door heavy to move, close. The front door needs to be adjusted, hard to open/close. But..the check in and out went smoothly. Nice people working here, especially Ana and Dante. Overall I was surprised about the hotel/motel having such a good rating.

The property is a modern motel and the room was clean, inviting, and noticeably recently updated. The lady who helped us check in was very friendly. The bathroom was huge and the shower was truly accessible, which was helpful since we did not look physically impaired, but had hurt our backs and ankles recently. They were very accommodating and gave us this room without us having to ask. The bed was firm and comfortable, and the pillows were fairly fluffy initially. We had a great stay and only wish they had better shampoo (the one there smells like a gas station hand wash) and better soundproofing. We could hear every single conversation and car turning on within a 20ft radius. Still, for the price in this area, it was great value and better than pricier options that are not as modern or comfortable.
