When we arrived, we were told that our room had been “upgraded although it did not seem like an upgrade to me. The room is clean. The hotel is in a great location. The people were all very friendly and nice. We opted for the Thanksgiving brunch, which I don’t know maybe I’m old school but $380 for two people seems like a lot although I knew it going in so I can only say it’s my fault. It was a great brunch. Don’t get me wrong but for me personally I think another option would’ve been better

This is my absolute favorite place in Monterey . We have been coming here for over 15 years. The rooms are always clean, the restaurant (Schooners) is fantastic, and the staff is consistently wonderful. The décor is beautiful and timeless, and the ocean views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend it.
