After a long drive to the area we stopped for a late dinner. At about 9:40 pm I recieved a phone call from the manager telling me I had to check in before 10 pm. This was not stated in hotels.com so I told him that. We were 25 min away from the hotel. After several phone calls back and forth he told me the night manager would let me in but I had to be there by 10:30 pm. It was 9:55 at this point so we had our food packed up and arrived at the hotel in time to check in. He gave me the key without any instructions as to where our room was or what the key was for. (Turns out it was for both the outside door and our hotel room door) As for the room, it is very run down with old furniture and old kitchenette. I wanted to make coffee in the morning but I found the pot was dirty and there was a dried up coffee bag in the basket.

Room smelled very strongly of lettuce. Multiple lights in room did not work, fireplace would not turn off making room very warm, breakfast consisted of frozen waffles and a couple pieces of toast. front desk was rarely in.

The hotel hasn't been updated since the 80's. Uncomfortable bed, small TV, sugar ants in our room, tiny bath towels and the kleenex dispenser was empty. The continental breakfast didn't open until 7:30. The price was reasonable but the accommodations were only fair.

The location is convenient but the bedding had small stains and the room next door was connected by 2 doors on the side of the room and offered little sound insulation. The neighbors weren't even that loud but you could hear even regular conversation clearly. The ice machine in the hallways also popped very loudly at 15 minute intervals.

On the day I checked in , the sheets were dirty , there was food left on the small table and the floors weren’t vacuumed . Absolutely disgusting. I’ve been requesting a call back from management for about two weeks now and no one has bothered to address the issue.

Did not have that scent of cleaning products that makes one a little nervous re: toxicity; loved having the stove and kitchen table, available if we wanted to cook and eat in the room; appreciated the large room. I was able to practice my yoga asanas. View was delightful.

I booked two rooms. One was fine. Dated and a little rundown, but sufficient for our needs, and I would stay in it again. The other freaked me out, and we opted not to use it. The couches in that one were covered in loose slipcovers, and it was accessed by a slightly rickety staircase. That scares me in a hotel. I was still charged for both, though I had been told the rooms were next to each other and they weren't. The room we liked had kitchen, dining and LR, and two bedrooms. It was a little beat up, but worked great regardless. And they gave me a credit for a future stay. The bathroom was tiny and not awesome. But it was very inexpensive. They were very nice to us.

I was not expecting new or anything but this place was not quite what we expected. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and all we wanted was a decent night sleep. We don’t care about the fluff or amenities or anything. It’s VERY old and outdated. Not really quirky like we were expecting. I don’t see us coming back to this place for any reason. We will just pay a bit more and get a restful nights sleep. I will say this place would be nice for someone who was going to stay for a while! The little breakfast nook set up that they have would be fantastic for a longer term stay if you don’t mind an uncomfortable bed and a very old hotel.
