This was the worst place I ever stayed. By the time I realized how bad it was - it was too late to book a room for the night anywhere within 50 miles - so, I was stuck there. Here's what really got me: when I pulled back the covers on the bed - I found two dead bedbugs and a live one still crawling around. I called down to the desk and told them to check me out that I would not stay - but that was before I tried and failed to find another room somewhere else. The front desk man did NOTHING to try and fix the situation - he didn't offer me another room or a discount or anything.
In addition to the bugs, the entire hotel is rundown and shabby. The rooms appear to be clean at first glance - but, obviously that is deceiving. The carpets are worn, the sink in the bathroom was all scratched and marred - as if someone had taken a sharp instrument and scraped into the enameling. The fixtures are ancient. There is nothing exceptional about this place - so why did I book the room? In a word - cheap. However, it was not cheap enough to justify the filth and pitiful condition. I could not in good conscience recommend this to anyone - except someone who absolutely has to pinch pennies.
